I would certainly intervene, but it would be with my gun. No way I'd ever want to shoot anyone, even this scumbag that is barely human...but at the time it would certainly seem like I was saving his life. So what would you say is a back story that would justify his actions shown in this video?

Aside from the teenage victim murdering his entire family, I don't see how anyone can watch that and think "now let's not jump to conclusions, maybe there's a reasonable explanation for what he did"

You would think man but you're underestimating how crazy some people really are. We don't know all the facts but unless that teenage kid is a murderer or a rapist, what happened to him was extremely excessive.

You're right there is something going - he's not correct in the head. Maybe he suffered trauma earlier in life, maybe he's been in/out of prison, maybe his family was murdered heinously.

None of that gives ANY justification for his actions. The kid was knocked out damn near instantly from a flurry of punches, probably from talking ****. It was over. This dude's actions are akin to what you might do in a 1-vs-1 fight to the death in a war, up close and personal, fight or be killed scenario.

He is an animal and has no place in society.

tried reading comments and not sure if this is true or not.
Looks like the maniac first had a person cornered by the building and the "drunk" was watching him corner them. When this "drunk" confronted the guy in a very non threatening manner he was savaged ... but yeah do not feel bad for him.
