if that's really the case and there are no more medical avenues, maybe just switch gears and try to live it up as much as possible. if you removed all of the treatments, are you well enough to travel and fukk around?

Can someone explain how you could go from complete remission and not having the option of retreating the cancer in the original way? unless it has metastasized to even more than before, which seems unlikely in that time period considering it was completely gone months ago and they've been scanning for it periodical

Also brah id go for 2nd, 3rd hell 4th opinions but im sure you have

I do have some options. I have an appt with my hema tomorrow. I do have options. None really are that Good of options.

I can stay on immunotherapy, but only to see if it will stabilize and slow the growth.
I have 2 older brothers, so I could attempta bone marrow transplant. But that holds a 40% mortality rate.
Or i could move to CAR-T therapy, but average response rates are roughly 90~ days. so not much point.

Can can become resistant and immune to treatment. It can learn how to close off blood supply from where it detects chemo. and with immunotherapy, the PDL1 pathway will grow shorter so that your "strengthened" t-cells can no longer detect it.



Cancer is such a complex and highly "intelligent" disease. Until you go through it, you never understand the complexities revolved around attempting to treat it.

He fought it and bounced back to exactly like he was before. He lived more than 30 more years

CarT has shown great response rates for non hodgkins and other b cell lymphomas.
Most arent nearly as aggressive as Hodgkins.

It has to do with which antigen the T cells are attacking. Usuay cd19 or cd16. Both are very rare cells to be seen in hodgkins [usually cd20]
There are cd20 trials going on now. But i would have to travel to another state to.participate. typically requires a 2 week hospital stay.

There will be ups and downs, If you took control of it once you can do it again, It's so annoying, you can not help getting upset about the situation

Its really helped me grow up.

While i can say "i wish this never happened"
I can also say, i wouldn't have grown and matured into the man i am today without this whole situation happening.

Two years ago i was a cocky, selfish, self-absorbed ass.
I lost everything. My muscles, my confidence, my health, my job, my friends, my hair. All that was left was for me to put myself back together.

Now, id like to think that im somewhat of a role model to some [including coworkers]. So i try to put my best foot forward and be as positive giving and patient as possible. Ive started donating, doing charity work, just trying to help put a smile on anyones face i come across.

You never know what someone is going through. And everyone in life just wants to feel cared for and happy. Just trying to help others feel that.

Sometimes we cant control whats happening in our lives, but we can control how we treat others.

Never give up bro.

My grandfather was diagnosed with another haematological cancer - multiple myeloma. He was given 18 months to live and the standard CVAD treatment. He fought and tried many other treatments, and lived for another 13 years, getting to see his daughter married off and some new grandchildren.

We're all praying for you...
