You need to swap the regular reverse lights to the same color temp

A possibility I suppose, but I'd rather keep them in. You just know that somewhere there's someone who would see that the factory reverse lights aren't illuminated and think the bumper lights are just on for no reason and not notice I'm actually reversing and do something stupid. And they're probably afraid of pumping their own gas.

At least I'd see them I guess, but I just don't want to deal with it.

Yeah, you and me both. That took 3 days of the only free time break I have in a year. The front will take at least as long, so...lol.

I've also been thinking about the cargo area. The dome lights just don't cut it. Thinking about wiring some foot well lights in the front to the dome light there, and then some additional lights maybe in the side trim in the rear. That should go quicker with no painting, but might still be a solid day's worth of doing.

Honestly, if you're not going to see the wait staff every other day no need to go nuts. I tip the guys at the pho shop across from work but I'm there a few times a week. Had one of those sad holiday realizations the other day that they've seen me more than my family has.

Weather is standard fare, mid 40s & light rain. We saw the sun the other day, we were like hysterical LA kiddies when the Space X rocket flew over head.

Oh, and I love the keychains at the gift shop, I sent a bunch to family for Christmas. Told them to put it on their work keys the week before visiting, because the way to fly is to let go of what holds you down.



p.s. - Day 1 of vacation: Habanero, ghost pepper, chipotle, kiwi hot sauce. Cut it with a little more roasted tomatoes to make 4 bottles, it's more back end heavy but still plenty hot. Had a bit splash on the stove top to where I probably should've run out of the apartment but my cook attire was like Walter White in episode 1 and I didn't want to scare the nieghbors.

True. Never underestimate stupid people. They would pay attention enough to actually see the factory ones are not illuminated, but not the blinding LEDs.

I just imagine someone strolling by seeing lights, looking up and thinking "oh, just lights, not backing up", and burying their face back into their phone continuing to walk behind the truck. With their kid in tow even, probably.

I can't say that it's totally out of bounds given how many people accessorize their vehicles with extra lights that are on all the time and don't mean they are backing up or whatever else.


Related: Pet peeve of mine...when auto manufacturers started making the reverse lights illuminate when you unlock the car with the key fob or some such...getting complacent about reverse lights because I'm tired of standing or stopping and waiting for them to back up because, you now, their reverse lights are on, only to find out they aren't even in the car.

That Underwood round actually churns out muzzle velocities over 1,500 FPS when people test it so I'm curious to see how that is (Gold Dot bullet, and Underwood now nickel plates the brass). He tested the Speer factory Gold Dot at 1,336 FPS (that might be more appropriate for carry IDK)



Here is one in a G32.4, average 1,511 FPS
