That McDavid goal though.

Remember when everyone said the Oil wouldn't even make the playoffs? Looking like they preheated the oven to bake at the right time.

Will be a very interesting final. Could see the Oil doing a better job breaking through the Cat's D than the Rags but could also see the Cat's forecheck wearing down the Oil more than it did the Rags. In all fairness I rarely watch west coast games and have no idea, but I think of the Oilers as pretty soft.

They're pretty good at adapting to a physical game if need be but yeah they're a skill team first and foremost.

Connor and Leon aren't soft by any means and Kane has the most hits of anyone coming into the series. Big thing is though if you get into games where each team is getting 3+ powerplays, Edmonton has a massive special teams advantage over anyone right now. We all know about their powerplay but their PK has killed 28 straight.

PK merchants? They outscored Dallas PP with their PK. Never seen anything like that. This series just seems like the teams started to wear down a little so they dialed back the physical play. The early part of the LA series was physical so they can do it but yeah definitely not their usual game.

I’m a wee bit hungover this morning waiting for my flight but totally worth it. My ears are still ringing a bit. Almost surreal given the oilers were at the bottom of the league last November. Would make for a hell of a storyline winning the cup after that.

Oilers are badly outshooting the cats but Bob has a Golden Horseshoe up his ass. If they buried even 1 of the 3 breakaways this would be a very different game. Oilers just can’t score.

I'm oddly calm ahead of this game. The Oilers have always come out swinging after dropping a game like that. If this series goes 2-0 it's not impossible but with Bob playing the way he is it'll be tough. I have a prior commitment so I'll miss the last 10 mins or so but I'll record it and hopefully come home and see a win. Gotta lift the puck against Bob or he's going to give up nothing.

also holy moly that kitties arena was loud and they're not even playing a game! I was told that the kitties couldn't handle the loudest arena in the league (the rogers library)

I wonder if the Leafs, Oilers, and the Jets tear it down and start over next season?

Drai has been a ghost. Bob looks human again. Game 6 back at the hornets nest that is Roger’s place. If im Florida I’m quite worried. But the oilers need to stop giving the puck away. Holloway had 2 awful turnovers that led to a goal and a what would have been a power play for Florida had the turtle not been called for embellishing.

I had to watch it at work and it was so stressful. Definitely bailing early Friday so I can get drunk to calm the nerves.
