okay so news headline popped up

"US Fed/State Officials are assessing possible market manipulation in regards to regional banking share drop"

this whole thing smelled like inverse GME

knew something didn't make sense.

some of these banks simply did not have the phucking volume/liquidity to trade they way they have been doing last few days.

let me give you simple example.

say today you wake up and say give me 50,000 PACW $2 puts .

the person on other side of that trade market maker / dealer / bank etc has to get human to review that trade - risk officer etc you can't just get filled on that kind of order

its possible someone was going oh sure have all the puts you want.

last time I checked PLTR still at $7.

market wont crash because everyone realized you can buy puts and short sell to get move they want.

ban short selling on regional banks due to threat of bank runs and this problem is solved.

I’m trying to decide how much I wanna risk right now. I’m back to 200 shares with a cost basis around $6 so basically all profit from my trades are sitting in shares. I might add back to 400 shares if I can get them below $5. Otherwise I’ll ride it out double or nothing. Hopefully it trades a wide spread AH again and I’ll just keep flipping between $5 and $6.5

I’m glad I got the bond position I wanted before this happened. Yields are dumping pretty hard.

I don’t get why their shares are getting hammered they are big enough I think they are safe.

Pacw I panic sold at like $6.20

I might check out WAL tonight and buy tomorrow premarket. I think they are better positioned and they have been getting clobbered just as bad as pacw in

There is some rumors going around SEC announcement today about short selling fraud on regional banks.

Don't look at PACW stock price.

Halting on the way up on that rumor.

Is it legit who knows.

Yah I posted about this on the main. Something fishy going on here. Don't think it is a conspiracy. Think it is --> job reports are done by regulators who are ultimately politically motivated to find that jobs are strong. Ironic that it will ultimately result in tighter and harder conditions because Jpow's biggest thing the other day was the "tight" job market, so they just going to keep pushing up rates.

What do you see indicating that? Bond yields are dropping on 5/10 years.

Day over Day changes for rate expectations at each meeting in the CME FedWatch Tool, granted the expectation for more hikes has gone down from a week ago but the expectation for cuts has as well

Gonna be an odd weekend if no banks fail. Perhaps the fed and JPM will actually get a weekend off lmao.

Anyone know if this "Fed senior loan survey" is a major report?
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

I think it's what they use to determine how much lending is happening and would feed into how much of their job is being done through the banking industry issues leading to increased credit tightness that should assumedly help rein in inflation to some unknown degree
