problem is a 2000's era marine corps m16a4 would never have irons on it. they could get issued to us but everyone used the acog. if you want historical accuracy, anything with a quad rail gets an agog.

we qual'd with m16a2's with iron sights. in the fleet you were issued a weapon commensurate with your unit and job. i got an m4 because i carried that giant rocket launcher in the above picture.

i shot ~200 40mm rounds when i was in the service. zero were in combat.

my job also had a lot to do with pulling security.

but i was basically a janitor most of the time, especially on the first part of my enlistment when i was a private.
