I liked how the city was on fire and Dany was indiscriminately sweeping through burning chit with no rhyme or reason... and her soldiers still kept fighting. Not running away themselves or anything. They’re like video game characters in a PS1 game.

I think it's pretty clear there were suppose to be at least 2 more seasons of this to finish the story but HBO/actors/producers/budget etc. were not all on that page. There are things set up in past seasons that absolutely disappear this season. Golden company had to have been planned a larger role or something for instance. Why were they even in this episode.

Way too much focus on Arya. Since when was she the main character?

Cleganebowl was fine but it was literally a conveniently placed video game boss fight. Ridiculously forced.

Jamie and Cerseis death was ridiculously underwhelming given all the chit surrounding them.


The general episode is fine in concept but the execution leaves a whole lot to be desired.

Didn't realize a dragon could blow a 20x50 hole through a 10 foot thick stone wall by blowing on it once.

It didn't make any sense. Why would the soldiers murder civilians like that? Why are there Dothraki alive I thought they all died in ep3? Why would she burn the city when they surrendered? I know they wanted her to go full mad queen but that is lazy ass writing.

I've only watched each episode once in it's entirety. I think I will eventually re-watch them, stop at Season 8, and fill the rest in with my own head-canon or reddit fan-fiction, srs.
