Florida coronavirus cases nearing 41,000 after first weekend under reopening measures

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida entered the second workweek under phase one of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ reopening plan, which now includes nail salons, barbershops and hair salons -- much to the relief of the businesses owners and those in need of personal care amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As of Monday, Florida coronavirus cases had reached 40,982, the overall total since March 1. That numbers includes 1,735 deaths and 7,224 severe cases of the respiratory illness requiring hospitalization, according to the Florida Department of Health coronavirus dashboard.

While the DOH reported 14 new deaths Monday morning, it should be noted the death toll is likely higher. Death data is often significantly delayed, according to the DOH.

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Its time to open everything back up. All the temp hospitals in NYC went unused. The hospital ship sailed away only treating 200 people, no longer needed. Everyone eventually gets it, its airborne. Originally we were told this was just to "flatten the curve" so the hospitals have capacity, well most are only 30% full as they have banned all "elective" procedures such as heart transplants, hip replacements ect.

Now that people have succeeded power to the government, the goverment is reluctant to give that power back up and is keeping everything shut down to the detriment of the people solely because theyve enjoyed having that extra power. Theyre all still getting paid too. That was the first mistake, maybe if the salaries of the elected officials and government administrators were cut as long as everything was shut down, we would be reopened by now, but since they are getting paid, they dont give a fuk about their citizens.

How's living in Florida right now brahs?

I miss going to the gym, but honestly apart from that, I'm able to get everything I need via delivery these days
The only chitty thing is not being able to get a proper haircut, but my bootleg self-administered haircut is fine when everyone is working from home lol

Yeah its almost like the northern blue states are drunk on government power and make arbitrary decisions to shut things down because they get off on restricting freedom. I thought that was supposed to be the "party of science". Waiting for which libtard here can tell me the "science" behind a remote 70,000 acre national park being an area of concern for spreading a respiratory infection. Must be the same "science" that says there are 52 different genders.

You want to go to a park and experience true liberty, you can come to Florida, parks are open there, the alphas are out on the beaches, on the trails, enjoying all that freedom.

not the best insult to use when you apparently fail to recognize there are multiple levels of government and "government" can and does refer to many of them generically. An abnormality at one level of government (trump) saying states should reopen does not mean the government as a whole should reopen.

Not sure if you are being disingenuous or are actually retarded.
