I've seen a few decent new alts who claim to be OG miscers from back in the day. A straight up ban with a cutoff join date seems a bit excessive.

This script works great though to block the really disturbing posters. The worst ones are always the ones that derail threads because they get a bunch of replies to their trolling so entire threads get fukked up. This script is brilliant.

Agreed, that's why I've never gone for any automatic hiding.

Thread derails are such a shame in interesting threads indeed.

I didn't think it would ever come to using this script but this breakdown has lasted for too long and with no intervention in sight before it comes to a head, this is what it may come to.

I've seen at least 10 other miscers doing the same to try and deal with it, so they'll have to do the same or risk getting banned themselves. Potentially banning 10+ users instead of 1 that's losing it (one who I reported for stalking a stranger, nothing done there) is not it.

Enjoy the threads of a basket case talking to themselves as people don't respond but said basket case can't bear to see their threads on pg2.

Edit: Is this a desktop only solution?

Generally, yeah. A couple pages back (I think), I should've published a chrome extension that you could try installing in mobile, but I've never done that myself.

If you don't like her threads then don't go into them. It's super easy to scroll past threads you don't want to read. There's trolls here who make more threads per day than SS does about the same things over and over and no one spams up their threads trying to ruin them.

Agreed. SS is hardly a concern compared to the current spammers now.

It's not about his threads but anytime that ph4ggot posts it usually derails the entire threads with people taking the bait of the troll.

That's actually the main selling point of this whole script imo.

tbh I have had spotty issues with this script. Sometimes I gotta refresh the page to get it to work.

Also I noticed if I post in a thread and someone on my ignore list posted inbetween when I started typing and when I submitted it, it will show their post. I'm scared u guys I don't want to see his avatar anymore

Aware of that, but didn't seem worth fixing. Someone on your block list literally has to post while you're typing before hitting Quick Reply.

@Luc1fer I also ran into that SO post in my investigating. Wasn't sure about it and just wound up using a MutationObserver, which also seems to do the job. Also finally put some things in functions since we now potentially clean the thread replies more than once.

It's amazing how this feature makes this place more pleasant. Don't have to be around toxic losers and trolls who are obsessed with put-downs, personal attacks, e-beef and e-fighting.

It's like the misc suddenly has normal people who actually know how to talk to people again lol
