Right now is not a good time to buy range ammo. I'd hold off a bit, go the next 2 months (I don't see huge indoor shooting range attendance the next couple months anyway...) with what you have, then look to buy after this wave of virus panic is past, while economy and prices is down, before election runup hits full pressure

I bought 2500 rds of 22lr instead, and have plenty of ammo for classes the rest of the year, but I don't think prices are going down between now and Trump's reelection...

Guy on a local gun board I'm on said Colorado Bureau of Investigations background checks are running at 17 hours. He went to pick up a lower and there were 1,700 checks in the queue.

A long time for new shooters, poors, etc who haven't learned stockpiling.

So what you're saying is there's no way anything worthwhile will be available from Geissele with my 35% before it expires and then it's the election lol

White House briefing from a couple hours ago is making it sound like lots of younger people and kids contracting the virus and never getting symptoms at all. So spreading it and never developing symptoms. So people can get it and literally keep going on with life never feeling sick at all?

We've thought that about kids for awhile. 0 deaths under age 10 in the first 100,000 cases for example. Small kids just aren't bothered by it. Mostly. The little kid who got it after getting an autograph from that epic douchebag nba player was symptomatic enough to go in and be given a test. And we have no reason to believe the kids won't spread it to others, and there are reportedly some healthy with no underlying conditions as young as their 20's that have died, so a lot of the population should be concerned about the asymptomatic kids who are terrific at spreading stuff

It really takes off of course after age 60 and or with compromised immune system or other underlying conditions effecting heart/lungs. We of course won't know a lot for sure for awhile when looking back and all that

Picked up some of that IMI you linked Farley.

Also some .338 lapua magnum rounds.

Plan on getting my glass mounted and setup in the next few weeks on a good piece of land where I can actually hit out past 300 yards

i'm not saying this isnt serious but i read that post a few pages ago, what fear mongering pile of chit that post was. 6th hand info from the "front lines"... There are no "front lines" . the chit is everywhere. If that was the case you'd be hearing it everywhere and from every hospital across the nation.

Adults can also have it and be asymptomatic from what I've understood, or at least have very mild symptoms and so never occurs to them that they have it and they just recover. There was even an older couple on one of the cruise ships that was quarantined who had it and they both said they really didn't feel very bad at all.

Something like 80% of everyone who gets this have mild or no symptoms. The problem is that it's incredibly contagious and a large number of people get it--so the "small percentage" that has critical reactions to it gets to be a really big number and hospitals can't treat them all when that hits all at once (like Italy).

This virus is weird AF. Common sense that the older you are, the more you'd be effected. But it's crazy that some can be infected and literally never ever know it, then someone just 20 years older can go from mild symptoms to in ICU on a ventilator in 24-48 hours.

That's the reason it's so dangerous and the curve needs to be flattened. It's incredibly adept at making a chitload of people "not very sick" and then it spreads like a wildfire. That creates a huge pool of infected people where 10-20% is a whole lot of people.

Another proactive thing just-because, that you should be doing full time anyway, don't run low on gas. Fill up by 1/2 tank. If you have a generator at home, have your gas cans rotated and full. Probably gas is going to be well priced and extremely available due to the lack of traveling and commuting, but...keep your gas well regulated.

What information is it exactly you don't believe?

What part of the way a virus spreads are you unaware of?

How is it you still don't understand that the timeline of infection is different in different areas?

And you're so right, knowledge of the risk from this...coronavirus thing...whatever that is...is definitely not common yet. Nobody has really heard of it yet.

I had read this plenty of places. Something like 50% of people dont show symptoms period. Of the remaining 50, 25% show mild cough/cold symptoms and the other 25% are the ones that get the bad cough/cold. Of that bad group, a small portion (cant remember the number) actually get bad enough to go to the hospital and even fewer actually pass (with the people who are effected the strongest being those in chit health or weak elderly). Those that pass are usually ones that wouldnt handle something like the flu either.

Why the numbers of actual cases could be significantly higher because 1)not everyone is getting tested and 2) a majority of people if it wasnt a think would think they just had a cough. It is extremely easy to contract and if you are exposed you *do* get it basically. That's the dangerous part.

I think i saw on fox news at the gym last night that there were 14,000 confirmed cases in the US. And 30-something deaths. That 14,000 number could be 10-100x higher just based on the above. Factor all of that in and i really hope in a month or 2 were all going "jesus fukk we overreacted." But i also hope that doesnt make people lazy to something real. That's what annoys me the most about all of this and the 24 hours news cycle combined with cancel culture. It drives people into hysteria.

Picked this up today, and 2 extra BX-25 mags. Front and rear UTG slim iron sights. Been wanting one for a long time, and since this is end times, I thought I'd better hurry.

I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

What? uh no. that post was clearly fear mongering. plain and simple. making it seem as if washington hospitals were seeing a virus that no others had access too. false.. the same virus is across the nation. post was implying that again it had knowlege not common to others saying that it was taking out healthy young people as well, something they had never seen before.. again , false.... whats not to understand?

i really find it funny you're leaning on a website dedicated to people who prep and HOPE that something like this happens, they want it to be true so bad they spread false info to justify their prepping.

Back when antifa was at its highest during our last election, there were SEVERAL posts including one from a "well known" people on in the gun community who read a letter he got from his friend "high in government" that martial law was going to be imposed on xyz date.... never happened..

again this is serious and we should take it as such, but these random bs ******** posts/shares from friends of friends of freinds who are "medical professionals" who don't exist are horsechit

None yet. It's basically a trainer to get back into irons, as well as starting to teach the youngins. Oldest is 8 now, time to start. When I do get an optic, it'll be a simple plex 3x9 with AO for 25-50 yards parallax.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
