You read a lot of books. I'm going to need a list of good reads from you on a google sheet or something that can stay updated.

If you are looking into getting your feet wet without taking the deep as fuk plunge with long standing story lines spanning 15+ books (like Brad Thor and Vince Flynn) I'd do:
#1 Ben Coes - Power Down is a fukin epic Debut about a former Delta operator down on his luck and works on an oil rig...**** gets kinda crazy and he goes H.A.M. 10/10 military/political thriller with interesting details about the oil rig / power grid industries
#2 Mark Greany- Grayman series. **** ton of action. kind of have to suspend belief a few of the times but its a dudes book. Is pretty much like Jason Bourne but more Alpha
#3 Angery American -going home series - this is a good series about what happens in a SHTF scenero(EMP taking down the power grid) and the government collapsing on itself and seeing a few Federal agencies going rogue and infighting. The main character is pretty much like Hartski. his main gun in the beginning that he has from his survival pack is an XD in .45 lol. But srs, there is a **** ton of valuable information on how to live off the grid. what foods to forage for, how to make primitive tools, etc.
If I were you, knowing how you take a year to read a book

I'd probably order Power Down by Ben Coes, and Going Home by Angery American. One in the Mil/Pol thriller category, the other a survivalist series. You'll probably like both, and will eventually read the rest in each series. You can get 'um for real cheap off amazon

Book 3's ending was straight retarded though "They were in the mountains all along!" lolAlso a fantastic book.

Seems ridiculous to me that I'm 2018 physical books don't just come with a free digital version. Pdf I could see leading to piracy, sure, but an Amazon Kindle version should be OK.
Either way, Inb4 Ike's mind is blown by meatie's recent posts.

in b4 ike is at a class at tactical respanse, and gets yelled at for running some expensive experimental Swarovski pistol sights on his glock. gets the gun smacked out of his hand, has the sights broken off via hammer and the remnants glued to his forehead as punishment
Adding insult to injury James Yeager installs some XS BIG DOTS on it, saying "here ya go, not sure whatever bitch-ass sights u were running before, but we fixed it now!"
ike speaks up but is abruptly cut off by James putting his hand infront of his face in the shape of a mouth, and closing it. He leans in nose-to-nose, "You want to make it out of here in one piece or do you want to make it out of here inside of an ambulance? u take those XS big dots and you learn to love them, you tell others how great they are and you proudly wear your Tactical Respanse alumni T-shirt. That is an order. Do you understand?
"Yes S-s-sir" is all Ike could mutter.

What's everyone's preferred round of choice for pistols?
Pretty stoked as I found a guy locally selling off a case of Federal HST 9mm 124gr standard pressure this week. Picked them up for $0.35 a round. Was definitely trying to snap some up as Federal has cracked down on retailers selling the 50rd boxes to anyone other than law enforcement. They are my preferred carry round in my LC9S and what I keep in my nightstand SP-01, so I am happy I have a good supply set back. I will have to find another round at some point, as I am not interested in paying $1 a round for 9mm ammo.

There is no best, but, if there was, it might be standard pressure 124gr HST

Evening MFC
Some good deals on ammo right now. I was planning on avoiding making any purchases for BF this year but 14cpr 9mm and 4.5cpr .22 mini mag is hard to pass up.

[img]https://i.imgur.com/COiDEMf.jpg[/ig]
The whole reason I didn't do an SBA3 is because I didn't want rubber and velcro on it.
That does look like a much better design though since it's only rubber where your shoulder incidentally/accidentally may touch it.
Both appear better than the other Sig braces available and the shockwave blade

The general public had no idea bump fire stocks existed and have no clue what the law is regarding rifle, SBRs, and pistols. The general public does know (or at least has a perception of) machine guns and know they're effectively banned and super scary.
The only reason that anyone knows what a bump fire stock is today is because someone used one in a really bad shooting, and there are several videos of it. The audio sounds very similar to machine gun fire. Convincing the masses that bump fire stocks essentially turn a run of the mill "assault weapon" into a machine gun isn't difficult and obvious why people should think they should be banned. Even by "pro 2nd" people. Even by NRA people.
Most people have no damn clue what a pistol brace is, that rifles under a certain length are bannedish, or what an AR pistol is, which in my experience includes some cops as well. For most people, an AR pistol is just an AR (rifle) and no different than other rifles. Even if someone were to use an AR pistol in a high profile shooting and it becomes known to the public, I'd imagine the general sentiment would be confusion as to why it matters that it was shorter than an arbitrary length. Or maybe I'm just too optimistic. But best case scenario (for the gun grabbers) would be to argue that they used a part to convert a pistol into an "assault rifle". I'd think (hope) that even the antis have to realize how absurd that is.
