Cooked a strip steak today.

Thing was 50% fat.

I was massively disappointed in the butcher cut.

Took like 1 hour to cut around all the various fat particles too. Should of ground it up and made stew meat

I'm one of those Disney freaks that had annual passes multiple years since I was a kid.

Best was 2013ish when daughter was 7 and son 12, went multiple times that year - and took a dad son only trip that was awsome.

They were the right age then.

I went to Epcot the year it opened.

Still have the vinyl record with Epcot background music.

Spent a week backpacking a small, local portion of the Appalachian Trail.

Started yoga and meditation for anxiety and stress issues I have.

Joined an indoor rock climbing gym.

Spent a couple weeks feeling like **** because I gave up alcohol and energy drinks.

So basically just realizing I needed to spend some time working on being happier and healthier.

I'm a huge Disney freak too. Absolutely huge.

I absolutely love Disney World. Between 3 and 18 years old my family went on 11 trips there, all 9 or 10 days long.

I went on a few trips myself as an adult, but unfortunately I haven't been in about 7 years now.

I was planning on taking a trip this winter, but my favorite hotel is under serious renovation with a big part closed.

On those 11 trips as a kid, we stayed at the Caribbean Beach 8 times. I absolutely love it there. I think as far as price goes, it's the best resort to stay at. Right now, I'd rather postpone my next trip than have the main section of the hotel closed while I'm there.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to also check out The Polynesian, The Wilderness Lodge, or The Animal Kingdom Lodge.....but the prices of those would cut my trip down in half. Depending on the time of year Caribbean Beach ranges around ~250 a night for a good room, where those three are around ~500 for the cheapest parking lot view rooms. You're in Georgia, and you make a hell of a lot more money than I do, so it's probably not a big deal for you. For me to fly down from Mass. though, I need to be able to afford at least a 7 or 8 nights minimum.

What really kind of pains me, is how much has closed, and is going to close, before my next trip in a year or so. A lot of changes since I was down there 7 years ago.

Epcot especially. I feel as though that park is losing its roots. It was always about technology and culture, presenting in a fun way for children....but they didn'tpanderto children.

Now they're pandering, at least in my opinion. I remember last time I went they had dumbed down the boat ride in the Mexican pavilion to include Disney characters, and focus less on the history and culture of the country. And since then they replaced Maelstrom with a Frozen ride.....are you ****ing serious? Maelstrom was ****ing awesome.

Now they plan on closing Ellen's Energy Adventure and replacing it with a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. That's bull****. I mean sure, I remember how old that ride is, and I remember the super boring movie that was there before they put in Ellen and Bill Nye, but it's educational....Frozen and Guardians of the Galaxy don't belong in Epcot.

Ugh, I'm ranting now. I know the parks can't stay the same forever, they have to change with the times, but some of them are just too much. I mean they're even getting rid of Disney Quest.....I know the Vive is already 100 times better than the VR tech they have there, but just update the place. The VR tech when Disney Quest opened was two decades ahead of what people could get at their home.....so spend the money and update it to show us what we'll have another decade or two from now.

Thank you.

If any of you have never been to Zenni.com you can buy prescription glass'(frames and glass') for as low as $6.99 a pair+shipping. They usually arrive in the mail within 1 week or less.
