DIII's I didn't find too bad tbh though some of the villains were cringe.
D1 and D2 the quests were alot cooler. Any1 remember the dying NPC outside the dungeon in D1 and in level 2 you literal chit your pants when you opened the door to the butcher and if you were a sorcerer three hits from him you were dead lul. good times.

Entirely uninteresting and then you go to do some entirely uninteresting task as well. There’s no room to decompress or mystery. Held off on doing the dungeon to unlock WT3 because I didn’t think I was ready. Said fuk it and tried it last night at 51 on the WW Barb. The last boss was pretty tough but got it. Finally I can get uniques. I’m dropping everything and switching to thorns if razorplate drops.

I like how Blizz says they wanted D4 to appeal to nolifers and casuals alike - but every single thing they do makes it appeal to nothing but nolife grinders.
Character doesn’t even come to life until you’re at least in the 60’s.
Then to make it better everything they do is another hindrance to help with leveling (IE: nerfing dungeon densities, etc).
They’re trying to artificially extend the gameplay and for someone who doesn’t have hours and hours a day to play - this ain’t gonna work…
IDK why they’re trying so hard to slow down people leveling. They act like basically the ENTIRE rest of the game isn’t a grind fest. All these fking statues, ridiculous numbers of dungeons etc. Just trying to get full renown in itself will take a casual player weeks.
I’m trying to have fun with it but honestly the more I play the more frustrated I find myself.

Sure there is an ungodly amount of (side) content/crap, but there's at least a month to work through it until the first season begins. Really no point no lifing it and getting burnt out. They've announced a stream where they will be talking about issues this week.
Knowing Blizzard my money is that they will be fixing a lot of crap starting with Season 1 and people will dig it since they're "giving them what they want". They've been doing it with the WoW expansions since forever. I'm only optimistic because with Dragonflight they did actually keep all the good stuff and got rid of metric tons of retarded annoying bullschit from Shadowlands, and the game is actually good with pretty much no drawbacks.

With the PvP in the game, there will be a LOT of adjustments. Example; Sorcerer might end up nerfed and end up low tier, screwing everyone that is playing sorcerer.
I think they screwed up a bit on scaling, but we will see.

The problem with scaling (IMO) is in the higher levels it puts way too much emphasis on gear. For casuals that sucks ass.
Your build is locked by 50. After that you’re just playing with paragon board. So enemies are getting harder and harder as you level, and if your gear isn’t also progressing, you’re going to have a hell of a time from what I’ve seen. My gear is mediocre and even with the current meta best sorc build in the game, I still can’t kill the boss for the nightmare capstone.
So, what? Now I get to spend hours an hours dungeon grinding for gear while getting abysmal XP so I can try to get my gear to the point I can finally beat the nightmare capstone.
And let’s not forget, not just any drops will do. I also need it to compliment my build or it’s damn near worthless because builds are sooo gear driven in this game. And you can’t just keep respecing around gear constantly because #1, that gets expensive and #2, most classes only have 1 or 2 builds that actually work in the first place thanks to all the nerfs so it’s not like builds can just be infinitely changed around whatever gear you happen to have.
It’s a huge circle of grinding for me. I’m not quitting. I’m going to keep playing. But I’m just venting the frustrations I’m finding and I know tons and tons of other people are saying a lot of the same things.

How many “blizzard” quality cutscenes are there? There’s the opening one then the rest through acts 1-2-3 we’re all just in-game engine cutscenes…some of them are pretty cool but what happened to the epic cutscenes for every single act
Unless I somehow missed any

Entirely uninteresting and then you go to do some entirely uninteresting task as well. There’s no room to decompress or mystery. It’s just seemingly ChatGPT generated dialogue that my eyes and ears don’t seem to want to take in and then some quest that the dev team seem to have been at a table like “ok now we need the players to do some task, any ideas? And then whoever ate the spiciest food the night before takes a diarrhea on the table and they go with that.
Less would be more in this case. Epic meaningful quests that are memorable. Playing this feels like I’m showing up to a birthday party I don’t want to be at and you’re being guided around a room by someone you don’t know and shown and fed with the most useless uninteresting stimuli that is unbearable to take in and you wish you were somewhere else.

like in d2, people just rush through the campaign to farm their most effective build.
mmorpg game quests are always repetitive and lack luster: wow, lost ark, destiny, etc...
not defending blizzard, because the game definitely could be better, but i see they are constantly making updates so hopefully we get there

I’m sure at some point they will get on top of scaling, balancing, etc - but when? It will take weeks or months to work it all out. How many people will get burned out before then?

lmfao @ people coping
"Bbb-but it will get better guyz!"
You realize how long they had to perfect Diablo, right? You think having no inventory space is a fking oversight? It's all by design to waste your time and make you backtrack and chit.
Just fkin lmao @ the Stockholm Syndrome. Blizzard has been chit for over a decade. They suck. Everything they do extracts the most money for the least effort. Expect nothing but a rote diarrhea imitation version of their games coded by some soulless dude who doesn't even like Warcraft or Diablo anymore and who's trying to live in Irvine on a salary under 80k a year while constantly getting yelled at by finance bros about how he needs to cut corners and ship.
Yes mad.

Are glyphs random drops everywhere or nightmare dungeons only? Or higher chance in NM dungeons?
I still haven't found the spirit glyph, got the aspects I needed though at last.
