Laws are based on objective moral values.

This is universal. Murder is a crime pretty much everywhere. Am I wrong?

Slavery was a tradition remember?
Is slavery being ended by religious men over 100 years ago your argument for modern day secular society being more moral?Society is currently in shambles. We are on a downward spiral; hedonism, narcissism and sexual degeneracy plagues us at every turn. People no longer know what is a man and what is a woman. The whole system is inverted.
If you can't see that, I suggest you read the Bible and follow God's word. Your conscience and innate moral standards He gave you have been corrupted.

And yes, Christians did end slavery. In fact we see this with Jefferson himself in a letter to King George.
Slavery was brought over to America from its practices in Europe, it was also being practiced (& many argue that America learned slavery from there hence the Atlantic Slave Trade) in Africa, as it is today, but more on that later. Jefferson himself, as the majority of the American Colonists opposed slavery under the reign of King George. In fact KG PREVENTED legislation from the American colonies to ban slavery..
Thomas Jefferson:
"He (KG)has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights to life & liberty in the presence of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere.
Determined to keep open a murder where menshould be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or to restrain this execrable commerce."
(Side note ..ex·e·cra·ble
/ˈeksəkrəb(ə)l/
adjective
extremely bad or unpleasant/appalling.)

Somewhat. Religion is a double edged sword. If people don't go out robbing and killing people because they think they'll go to hell for eternity, and if it compels people to be a good person, then yes religion is good and necessary even if it's mainly false/fiction. But on the other hand, people can use religion for evil purposes such as terrorism or as a way to control people.

Civil Rights Act
The House:
Democratic Party: 152–96 (61–39%)
Republican Party: 138–34 (80–20%)
The Senate :
Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)
The Senate version, voted on by the House:
Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)
Republican Party: 136–35 (80–20%)
So more Republicans supported the Civil Rights act than Dems.
You also must have forgot the Eisenhower in 57 that the Dems forced him to water down to get passed.
You probably say that the racist Dems jump ship after the Civil Rights act. So heres a list of Racists in the government at the time:
Notable Dixiecrats who remained Democratics after 1964:
Rep. John Rarick D-LA
Commissioner of Public Safety Bull Connor D-AL
Racist & Segregationist Democratic Party Governors:
Gov. Orval Faubus D-AR
Gov. Frank M. Dixon D-AL
Gov. Benjamin Travis Laney D-AR
Gov. William H. Murray D-OK
Gov. George Wallace D-AL
Gov. Lester Maddox D-GA
Gov. Fielding Wright D-MS
Racist & Segregationist Democratic Party Senators:
Sen. B. Everett Jordan D-NC
Sen. A. Willis Robertson D-V
Sen. Olin D. Johnston D-SC
Sen. Sam Ervin D-NC
Sen. J. Lister Hill D-AL
Sen. John C. Stennis D-MS
Sen. James Eastland D-MS
Sen. Allen J. Ellender D-LA
Sen. Russell B. Long D-LA
Sen. John Sparkman D-AL
Sen. John “Little” McClellan D-AR
Sen. Richard Russell, Jr. D-GA
Sen. Herman Talmadge D-GA
Sen. Robert Carlyle Byrd D-WV
Sen. Harry F. Byrd D-V
Sen. Al Gore, Sr. D-TN
Sen. Spessard Holland D-FL
Sen. Herbert S. Walters D-TN
Sen. George Smathers D-FL
Here is a list of all those that switched parties:
Gov. Mills E. Godwin, Jr. D-VA
Sen. Jesse Helms, Jr. D-NC
Sen. Strom Thurmond D-SC
But yeah... it was all the "liberal north v conservative south" right?
fukin retards in here

So far, Paul Kreul has volunteered an explanation: "Jews".
This is not a mathematical model or a presentation of evidence. Pretty unconvincing. Anyone else want to give it a go?
