I assume this post was to me. For one this is an NBA thread, so I figured people would assume I was talking about the Celtics when I said "Boston."

And for me it's not really hating the town because of the team or the players (although there are players on Boston teams I hate, and I hate the Red Sox franchise outright, and to a lesser extent the Patriots franchise). It's more about the attitudes of the fans of those teams. Red Sox and Pats fans are in general such massive azzholes, and most of them are fans of the Bruins and Celtics as well, so at this point I just hope all of those teams fail, event though I really have no reason to hate the Bruins or the Celtics other than that.

Luka is a horrible defender. How can you be the best while being horrible on one end

Lebron, MJ, Kobe, Kareem were all GREAT defenders

Yeah this is true, although I think great defenders mean a bit less than they used to in the current 3 point era

Yeah Luka has legit nothing yet, not even an MVP. If he wins a ring/MVP he's still not even in the top 50 yet

Miscers just love him cuz he's a chubby white guy lol

You know GayDawg is seething, knowing 2 white men are top 1 and 2 in a league comprised of the best black athletes in the world. LMAO

Jokic is the MVP, and if Luka wins a ring and FMVP, GayDawg won't have a good night sleep the whole summer.

Wouldn't be surprised if Dal becomes the first team in nba history to blow a 3-0 lead. Wolves have the momentum now.

I dunno about that but it's definitely interesting

Refs were trying to throw this to Luka with those ridiculous foul calls he got but they still couldn't put this away

Meanwhile Boston resting up…

I think this goes 6 with Dallas winning back at home

Dallas shot like absolute dogchit and it was only a 5pt win. Calm down.

That was the standard "backs against the wall" win, when a team is down 0-3 and completely desperate.

Even the Lakers managed to steal one from the Nuggets, when they were down 0-3, and after 10+ straight losses.

There has never been a team to come back after being down 0-3 and there have been over 100 instances. As soon as Lively gets back the series is over.

I swear I hate NBA discourse. It's impossible to compare players across eras and NBA fans want to talk about that chit constantly. It's so stupid

Yeah, somebody is going to come back from being down 0-3, but I'm not counting on it from Minnesota. All 4 games have been really close though, so there's always a chance. Missed the game last night, but the difference through the first three games was late game execution. Both teams have been very evenly matched. I was watching the previous games with my son and I don't know how many times I told him "you're not going to win very many close games if you can't even get shots up". Minnesota has played pretty good ball for the most part, but the Mavs execution at the end of games has just been better.

Typical sports overreaction take. I get it's easy to fall into that sort of thing but let's pump the breaks. It's one game and it's VERY hard to come back from 3-0 in any sport with 7 game series. If the Wolves get a second game, THAT'S when the discussion should begin on the possibility.

And I don't mean to attack you or anything, it just seems like all sports is filled with hot takes and overreactions like this. Either a series is over after one game, or some guy is going to be an all time great without even doing anything meaningful yet, or *insert player* is shiit after one bad game.

Yeah I'll admit I tend to overreact. The odds of winning a 7 game series when being down 0-3 are very slim hence why it hasn't been done before in the nba. The most likely scenario is that the Wolves win the next in Minn and Dallas wins the series at home. But I would think if any team can pull it off it would be the Wolves in this series since they are the better team (I'm basing this on their season record and because they beat the defending champs in the previous round) and also the previous games vs. the Mavs have been very close. I'm hoping that the Mavs can close it out in Minn, but there's a strong chance they lose that game giving the Wolves hyooge momentum going back to Dallas.

Dang, Luka should play angry every game. Also curious to see what the racist clowns at Espn are going to say about him eliminating their boy Ant.

Ant played well against Denver and also played well the last 2 games. I didn't think the huge chip on the Mavs' shoulder after the last game would result in such a lopsided win. I'm surprised how well the Mavs played tonight coming into a hostile environment.

I wouldn’t say he played well this game, he only started scoring when they were already down 30. People were also talking up his defense but he got cooked consistently.

Celtics could definitely win it but it'll be a good series. It sucks that it won't start for another week. Why did they schedule it like this?
