Liberals who live in the dirty south blow my mind. I don't even know why or how that happens. Particularly the ones who were born and raised there. How exactly does one become a liberal when they grew up in Possumneck, Mississippi?

The guys I know from the rural south who are liberal fall into one of 3 categories:

1. Grew up super wealthy, hate the south and want everyone to know they are "different" from everyone else. These types end up moving north 95% of the time once they finish college

2. Smart guys who never lived up to their potential. They are usually drug addicts who work in restaurants and are liberal just because they don't want other people to have more material possessions than they do

3. Homosexuals

That's not as much of an issue where I am. Seriously, like 98% of all white males who live in rural areas vote conservative so the "go with flow" crowd all votes R too. It's also a poor state so people just graduating and getting a job make poverty wages so they don't pay that much in taxes

I fantasize sometimes about winning the lottery and moving to a depressed area like that. Buy the local mill, keep the sheriff and mayor paid, and then run the town like my little kingdom.

I also watched Walking Tall this weekend so that might be doing it.

I'm alive. It's been crazy. Wife begging to work on it. though, just like the last times, she tells me to take all the space I need. Then within a few days starts inquiring a couple times a day and pressuring me. ugh. She is on her best behavior now, started a diet, online marriage counselling etc...I'm not really impressed, but my heart does go out. Makes it tough. Throwing up every morning.

I'm having a hard time adjusting to others being more locked up than us in Cali. School is scheduled to open here (hybrid, 2 days per week) on April 19.

Apologies guys, but I have some “written diarrhea” I need to spill. Just skip over if you want:
I have not mentioned this ITT yet, but my best friend died a month ago. I haven't mentioned it because, it seems like I am always going on about people that I know dying on me in here. And the bigger reason is, I'm not sure (really) why she died. She passed in her sleep where she was living in NY. After no one could get ahold of her the following day the superintendent opened the door to the apartment and she was found unresponsive. She just turned 40 the day prior. She grappled with drinking pretty heavily. I was told the last few months she couldn't go an hour without having a shot of some sort. They are pretty much sure that she asphyxiated in her sleep, and was too intoxicated to right herself. Toxicology report impending.

Best friends for 35 years is a long time. To have it cut off so abruptly, is still really ****ing with me. About a week prior to her birthday, we got into a fight. She got angry with me for contacting her "boyfriend" to make sure she was alright, behind her back. I did this because she was making very questionable decisions…even for her. I contacted him to make sure he didn't need help and to see what was really going on. He told her that, and she called me and started saying not to ask anyone but her what was going on in her life. That she was the only one that knew the truth. Things addicts say for $2000, Alex.

The call ended with me hanging up on her. I was not in contact with her when she died. I didn’t even call to wish her a happy birthday. So, I’ve been dealing with that. It really sucks. I’m not beating myself up too much, because I gave her all the rope I could – for years upon years. Everyone has their breaking point. I’m just upset that she left me before we made up, I guess.

Point I want to make is, just make sure you are confident that the people you love know it. Things change in a fukking instant.

Vex that is bordering on your finest work

TX I have nothing to add to your situation, Im just hoping today's pain pays happiness dividends tomorrow.

I am also talking with a guy about an estate sale foxbody. Dads car, 89 5.0lx coupe (trunk) 5 gear with 75k miles on it. Said it was stored outside covered, so I am hoping its not a rust basket case of full of mice.

This is a 'variant' spike shutdown thats working its way through. We've had our kids back in school full time since September, supposed to hear at 3:30 whats the plan for our province.

I told my guys plan on home office work until summer earliest.

Bitty IMO grieve for your friend but go easy on yourself.

Not sure how many addicts you have dealt with but a lot of this situation started when sperm hits egg, you could ahve tripled your efforts and had the same end result.

Nice. If it's in good shape jump on it with those miles. Prices are really going up quick and especially coupes.
