After the Hillsborough football disaster in 89 the Sun wrote a load of **** about liverpool fans saying they were robbing people, beating up cops etc. So pretty much everyone in liverpool (including everton fans) boycotts them to this day.

Apparently in the UK there are still laws regarding alienation of affection...or in layman's terms...cheating with a married person. The spouse can sue you for tearing apart their relationship and the mistress (or whatever the guy would be called) would have to pay monetary damages.
