I think England have performed better than anyone other than brazil and france tbh
Belgium look good going forward but i think brazil rips them apart, so many holes in that defence. England didnt have a single chance away last night until the 93rd

The guy you were replying to was asking what the celebration were going to be like when we win so drawing a parallel to Leicester just seemed odd. The magnitude of what they did esd massive but the evnt itself in terms of celebrations in the country ar a different level
Also this is a stupid thing to even have a back and forth about. We going to the quarters boyo!!!

it seems to me the celebration is much more insane when an unexpected team wins a trophy compared to when a powerhouse wins that same trophy since they realize it's most likely a once in a lifetime experience
in terms of a world cup this might be less relevant since the 4 year gap makes it even for the favorites less likely to experience a win multiple times in their life but I believe you catch my drift
and seeing England was nowhere near favorite for this tournament it compares to the Leicester story, only bigger (national) this time but with comparable intensity
I might be biased though since my local team and country have been the underdog for ever I might just imagine them winning somehing to be much more intense compared to for example Real Madrid or Brazil winning

I think we need to take out sterling for RLC and move Ali to number 10
Sterling is ineffective in the floating 10 role, he cant use his main weapon which is his pace and he is undersized and doesn't have the passing or vision to create anything. He also takes up space that prevents Ali from playing his usual game, put Ali back to what he knows playing off Kane. It would also add better balance to our midfield, RLC is a proper box to box midfielder and offers us some more power and energy

They sit so deep and are so compact, it worked against Portugal because their full backs refused to cross, and William Carvalho has zero creativity or threat of long shots. Give a good side like France that many opportunities to put balls in with the likes of Giroud in the box and you will be punished. Having Pogba means you cant leave him with space to shoot from outside the box either. Going forward I don't think they did anything outside the goals, both were exceptionally well taken but nonetheless were poor defensive mistakes from the full backs, I don't think France give you either of those two.

these abbreviations only work for household names like CR7, R9 or even KDB, not for Ruben Loftus-Cheek lol

people are underestimating Uruguay but they are dangerous. They have two of the best strikers and 2 of the best defenders. Everyone else is good enough to carry the team.
The tactics Argentina used against France was completely wrong. Argentina has an old squad and was playing a very open game and there was so much open space for Mbappe and Grizmann to roam. Uruguay defensive style will be tough on France to break down. France found it tough to break teams like Australia, Denmark and wasn't very convincing win against Peru even tho they won 2-0. Uruguay will just counter and sit back.
