I’ve been tempted to try FF14 a lot recently. Not sure I want to get involved with another MMO though.

Same. Been getting back into WoW with tbc classic, and between console gaming and a family, I don't think I can squeeze in another mmo.

Nice. I have it on ps4 but will wait to play it on Series X or PS5 once the next gen patch drops later this year.

Just the last chapter left for FF7R Hard Mode. Now it’s about to get interesting with the final boss gauntlet.

I can agree with the use of the word 'finally'. It took me a fair few hours to really get to grips with how the game works (mixing potions, inventory, mutagens, keeping weaponary in good condition, buying/selling, what to upgrade etc) it can be overwhelming at first compared to say 'Skyrim' where you literally just pick up a weapon and armour and get to work. But after that 6 hour mark or so I've found that it's addictive.

You should go on to play the two DLCs 'Heart of Stone' and 'Blood and Wine' after the game (need to be level 35+). Blood and Wine especially is an amazing DLC; Toussaint is pretty much a full game in itself, with some crazy missions and memorable cut-scenes.

Not sure if I got to 100 hours on that game, if not then must have been close.

You put a deadbolt on your bedroom door so mom doesn't catch you tapping?

Still haven't played Witcher 3 myself and not sure I'll ever get to it being someone who doesn't really like RPGs. But I will wait to play the upcoming PS5 version if I do.

Not saying it will be bad because of that. Just that I am personally disappointed due to that.
I haven't heard anything about DQ12 not being a typical JRPG, just that it's not going to be as fun as the others which are generally childish with an insane amount of innuendo.

Where'd you hear that they're changing the combat style? I sure hope they don't. I thought DQ11 was pretty successful in sales?

Trying out some Xbox series xgames

Hell blade is creepy, the audio is incredible. Really boring to play. But insane sounds on dolby atmos. Great graphics on any of the settings.

The evil within 2. Again, boring to play. Barely made it passed the intro.

Gears 5, pretty fun surprisingly. Gunna finish campaign and play some horde maybe. Actually surprised how much Im enjoying it, not sure why tho since I played all, the other ones and enjoyed them. I guess I expected this one to be mediocre for some reason.

Crackdown 3. Literal dogwater. I don't understand what happened to this franchise. Even big Terry crews could not save it.

Oh yeah and what dick head developer thought I wanted to spend my entire star wars play thru climbing ****ing walls and ledges. Could be a great game but it's just significantly slowed down by traversing environments for no real reason.

Just finished Bloody Baron first quest in Witcher 3 and started Keira's quest.

This playthrough I've decided to explore and do the question marks on the map surrounding any quest area I'm in. It's been successful for the most part, but can get real annoying when you reach a discovery well above your level.

My first playthrough I started with Griffin level 1 gear but quickly switched over to Feline because I love the aesthetics and playstyle. Wondering if to try another or stick to Feline Master race.

In terms of endgame build, I would recommend the Bear/Ursine gear. It is very expensive to craft everything (4 items of clothing and two swords) to Grandmaster level (like 35k +), but worth it ultimately. Plus as you get to that level, gold is super easy to get hold of if you loot and sell alot. Solid armour with perks os nigh essential on higher difficulties.

Stats for Grandmaster level Ursine gear

Bonuses for 3 pieces: When a Quen shield shatters, there is a chance a new one will be cast at no Stamina cost. The bonus increases by 5% for each piece of the set.
Bonuses for 6 pieces: Damage dealt by Abilities involving the Quen Sign is increased by 200%.

4 Items of body armour combined

+83% Adrenaline Point gain
+55% Resistance to piercing damage
+40% Resistance to bludgeoning damage
+70% Resistance to slashing damage
+80% Resistance to damage from monsters
+50% Resistance to elemental damage

Silver sword

+25% Adrenaline Point gain
+100% Critical hit damage bonus
+5% Critical hit chance
+14% Chance to dismember
+20% Bonus experience from monsters

steel sword

+25% Adrenaline Point gain
+100% Critical hit damage bonus
+5% Critical hit chance
+14% Chance to dismember
+5% Bonus experience from humans and nonhumans

So with lots of points invested in Quen, you become an absolute tank!!

leave it to dice to rewrite history so that they can cram sjw garbage in a ww2 game. stealth sections were too frequent. final mission, sound, and graphics were great though.

Been playing some D2 lately after not touching it for like 11 years. Tried the new ladder but it's like 90% bots so jumped on single player with plugy and been having a good time getting back into it.

Don't want to get burned out grinding high runes or endgame rare chit like Mara's or Shako so I'll probably stop there until D2R. Now just thinking about what build I'm going to start with.

Knew TBC was going down the same path as classic so I didn't even bother. Way too hardcore and demanding from buffs to raiding.

They took Outer Wilds off Game Pass before I got to finish itwill have to buy it when it's on sale.

Need something to play next, thinking A Plague Tale or the Medium. Heard so many mixed opinions about them both though.
It seems there a no games that can replace Outer Wilds.

I also played Outriders earlier in the week... one of the worst games I've played in years.

Yeah man and I was in a hardcore guild too that wanted to push fast times and wanted a second alt raid team plus pushing arena it just all became too much. I had the top server dps for warlock on a few fights and was set up pretty well but just couldn't imagine keeping that pace up plus more demanding raids for the next 2 years

New World seems like it could be fun I may try it casually

for those of you into MMOs, Ashes of Creation I think had some alpha testing recently. I used to be heavy into MMOs 12 years ago as a university student but nowadays I just find they are just too much of a commitment/time sink plus alot of grinding to keep up. I still play Guild Wars 2 from time to time for its PvP and WvW, don't really care much for the story but still do some PvE

Finished A Plague Tale yesterday. Pretty good game. Trying to figure out if I'll play the PS5 version through as well to check out the free upgrades. Should be a pretty quick play 2ns time through.

Finishing up Wreckfest for the 2nd time. (PS5 version, already played PS4). Great game. As someone who doesn't like sim racers it really hits the mark of fun.

Wondering what to play next. Backlog is huge, kinda in the mood to knock some smaller games off. Anyone have feelings on Subnautica? Never gave it much thought but just heard someone raving about it.

I do need to finish B&W though. Hearts of Stone was also legit.
