IDK, I have had a lot of Fenix lights. I have beat the piss out of most of them, trying to get them to fail. None have faultered whatsoever, which is a common report on the light forums. Meanwhile, multiple Surefires have failed due to being carried in a pocket or sitting in a car console and nothing more. Had one Surefire fail because I put it in a pool. Funny, the Fenix lights had no problem with that (nor did any other manufacturer, only Surefire).

Kind of another beta test on the public company. Make sure the model you buy isn't known for parasitic power drain while sitting lol

G19 is the only gun I've ever carried and ever plan to carry.

I have Nitecores, Fenix's, Streamlights, surefire, and an inforce.

for WML, surefire is the only one with a temporary that isnt full retard like the inforce APL's. (just lol at using a WML that isnt a temporary)

but i don't think thats as important for a pocket carry flashlight like im looking for. all my high flippin' high felutant handhelds are too big to put in a packet

Outside of a streemlight Stylus Pro that I lost, I never carry an EDC flash lite. Saw the Olight baton SR on sale, nice size for the prise, but damb for 30 bucks more I can get a stilleto.

My favorite part of Farguments is after its over, theres a lull in MFC activity. But if you listen carefully, you can hear the sound of Farley rubbing his hands in UP2.0 Powder in an UP2.0 tub.

Ima be honest... lights are cool and all, but I just got back from my Dad's where we fried 2 turkeys and that **** is legit the best thing in the whole world. Fried turkey > all turkey.

In case anyone is wondering, it's about a 5 beer job. One solo turkey can probably be done in 3 beers, but I wouldn't push it.

I bet if farley took a travis haley adaptive pistol/adaptive carbine course, and Travis Haley sprinted up to farley and asked "what do you think of surefire"

farley's tune would change lol

Travis Harley: "Marine Force Recon, Private contractor, SUREFIRE the whole time. what about your experience?"

Farley: "Lite EDC carry and i tossed a surefire into a lake and it stopped working"

Travis Halay: ....... Here's what i'll do. You buy this XC1 for 50 bucks and you learn to love it or you dont leave my class until you buy it full MSRP

Farley: You can't do that, thats criminal

Travis Haley: This is my class dip****.

Light tech has been advancing fairly rapidly over the last decade. Every year the bar is raised, and in a non-significant way. Emitters just keep getting more efficient and manufacturers just keep improving design and user interface and integrated circuits or WTFever allow more and more programming options and control. Thermal regulation is a given on any moderately priced major manufacturer's light these days where it used to be rare and expensive. Gone are the days of limiting output to protect from overheating, or having simple dumb timers limiting max output. Lots of current regulation and not just annoying PWM too.

Some current pocket carry light options

4 of these offer 1,000 or more ansi FL1 lumens, one of them is over 3,000 lumens at turn-on, 3 of them have a CRI of 90+ (another thing much more common, 4-5k color temp high CRI)

And all are more reliable and durable than Surefire

I still keep to Streamlight and Olight fro WML though

[lighting provided by another high CRI flashlight, of course hehe]

Have fun, and feel free to search the forums for Surefire
