Nah. The Grand Cherokee is more comfortable, and we really do need a comfortable car because my cars technically shouldn't even be street legal

Also, my ex drove a grey 5.0 Mustang, and well, that didn't work out. Allah says don't buy Mustang with girl if Mustang with girl before no work.

I actually don't own a car, I ride an electric bike around the city. I can hit decent speed and fang it if I really need to, accounting for traffic you'd encounter in a car I can get to most destinations within a similar amount of time (within the CBD area of course). It's extremely handy.


Plus I save atonof money. I'm easily putting away 1k every pay. Only downside is nearly stacking it a few times and almost getting run over by a tram, but a solid and green investment IMO.


I'll admit I'm a bit jaded about cars though. I had a Commodore a decade ago, hit an oil slick on a roundabout and skidded off the road almost into a tree. Would've bought the farm for sure.

I also got that car from a friend who bought it for $1500, thrashed the chit out of it making it nearly underivable then sold it to me for $2500. When I found out about that I stopped paying him the instalments I promised, told him he was a POS and never spoke to him again.

Until you are established, you do need somewhat of a decent ride.

You have to make sure it has good cabin space to phuck in, and muffles enough if you have a screamer.

Leather seats also- especially if you often end up with squirters.

Gachase, I'd definitely get a second opinion.

One of the more prevalent failure modes for the EcoBoost is excessive carbon/gunk build up on the back of the valves which can cause all kinds of weird failure modes. Ford dumps all the nasty crankcases gases right on the back of the valves in order to burn them off. Ford has not developed a way to clean them and they just recommend replacing the heads.

Just a thought.

Hyundai have come a long long way. They seem to be up there with Honda and Toyota in terms of reliability. My friends with late model Hondas have had some pretty major issues with them.

According to this tech, Ford has not approved any method to clean the valves and recommends replacement of the heads...pathetic.

Not sure how often you need to clean the catch can. Prolly says on the kit.

EcoBoost has has some cam phaser (integral to the VVT) issues also (so does the 5.0) which can affect idle and performance.


My next truck will be a Toyota.

I've only got 90K on mine and I've had to replace:

I can't listen to music with 'vocals' a lot typically.

There are a few that I will listen to overwhelmingly that are just ****ing insane because they have some crazy beat going with them that do - but that is rare.

Typically I don't like people's voices... they are annoying.

I prefer instrumental music especially metal.

So, if a song is brass/big band instruments -- I won't like it -- but you convert that same piece to guitar especially electric guitar -- I enjoy it.

Weird how that works.

I find strange songs that I will listen to for 12-14 hours while I am working on repeat and be hella productive the entire time while coding/working on contracts/accounting pulling ERP system data.

For a couple years in Austin I lived next to a biology professor who grew weed in a greenhouse in his backyard. For one of those years, my neighbors on the other side were a champion Ultimate Frisbee team. The two worlds collided one morning when I found a young ginger hippie in a baja hoodie passed out on the lot. He was a student at UW-Madison who was in town visiting the ultimate frisbee team. He also said he was studying ethnobotany and spoke reverently of a UT biology professor famous for his weed and was delighted to find out the guy lived right next door.
