Before we go down that road, do you agree to support a complete ban on every item that does not have an agreed upon "PRODUCTIVE" use, if said item can be used to kill or results in deaths?

We have the 2nd amendment so nothing will be done. Look at Chicago. How are no guns working out there? O that’s right, highest gun deaths in the country.

It’s a mental and religion problem really when you factor in terrorism. If there were armed teachers in the school that knew what they were doing this would have ended a lot quicker.

I dont support putting forth any ideas, I am not claiming to know what the solution would be. I'm merely acknowledging the reality that something needs to be done, and you can't do that. Sad

People have told you the only viable solution to stop school shootings, and that it would be total gun confiscation and civil war. If you don't want to pay that price, just admit it.

Even the AR-15 boogeyman (or even every semi-auto rifle) being banned would mean nothing, look at the Virginia Tech shooter. He murdered dozens of people with a Glock 19 and a .22 Sig pistol.

Let's consider "stopping school shootings by banning guns".

1. You would have to outlaw all guns. No grandfathering, no allowing some guns will disallowing others, you'd have to ban them all.
2. You'd have to go and get them, and you'd have to use armed teams of police to do so, from every house and place of business in the country. Every single one. Since there's no gun registry, you'd have to literally search every building in the United States, and you still wouldn't get them all. You'd have to violate the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendment rights of every single American.
3. You'd have to shoot the people who resisted, who would number tens of thousands if not millions. All of them. If they numbered in the millions, you'd be dealing with a civil war.
4. After your civil war, with millions dead, atrocities surely committed, and our society literally in ashes, you'd have to put the pieces back together.

If you don't want to do all that, you have two alternatives:

1. Recognize that you live in a country with 300 mn people and 400 mn guns and accept that some of those 300 mn people are bad. Avoid creating large concentrations of defenseless victims by actually letting people be armed in public and/or having law enforcement where there are large concentrations of such defenseless people.

2. Stick your head in the sand on the issue and only take it out to cry about how America "needs" gun control.
This will need to be done in a gradual process.
step 1: Stop the sale of all guns and ammunition.
step 2: impose heavy fines/punishment for anyone seen with a gun
step 3: As gun numbers diminish, ammunition runs out as well, you can set up police force to crackdown on illegal weaponry
step 4: analyze situation make and make further changes accordingly

No other civilized nation NEEDS law enforcement at their schools to prevent mass shootings on a regular basis.

Step 1: Civil war

Good luck with that.

But hey, it's cool to see another account throw away all of human history and ignore that the majority of murders have been committed by governments, including mass murders of literally millions.

Super tragic, I can’t imagine how the parents of the kids murdered must be feeling right now. He’s alive hopefully they run some test on him and we can learn something from this. What if it’s actually something in the water?? Also did they release a motive? Just now reading about this.

Everyone will start shooting each other as soon as a ban is put in place?, so they will sacrifice the life of their families and risk any future for their kidsa and grand children because of some mechnacial killing tool?

I beg to differ.

ban all guns, but do it gradually.

He was a known threat. He had made threats to students and was already not allowed on campus wearing a backpack.

Strong school security is strong. But hey it was a gun free zone so no way he could bring a gun there

That is exactly how the United States came to be in the first place. You are apparently not capable of understanding what people are capable of.
