I guess we now know why McConnell said giving the tapes to Tucker was a mistake; he was one of the individuals responsible for calling off the national guard. So now we know Pelosi and McConnell were ultimately responsible and they were trying to make the DC mayor the fall person for it.

It appears that House Republicans are going to open a number of investigations into Jan 6, specifically in regards to the security failures and and the treatment of those who were detained and charged.

I think this is why the tapes were released to Tucker first as he has the viewership and would present the information in a light that is favorable to McCarthy's ambitions. McCarthy uses Tucker as his mouthpiece to gain some public support for the upcoming investigations and Tucker gets a ratings boost from having exclusive access to said tapes.

Hopefully this is a sign that many republicans are done being cucks to progressives. This whole thing also exposes who the establishment Neocons criminals are in addition to Dem criminals. I think there are some politicians that are pretty afraid right now.

McCarthy just made a statement and it sounds like he’s trying to stay neutral. I think that was the plan from the start when he agreed to Gaetz’ terms for the vote. Gaetz basically said “Give us what we want and need to investigate all of this, and you got it”. This way McCarthy can play the “indifferent spectator”, which is honestly not a virtuous position, however, Pelosi was so proactive and overreaching for so long, it’s difficult to remember how other speakers have acted.

Well, if Tucker Carlson (who we all know thanks to the Dominion filings will present to his viewers whatever they want to hear/see, regardless of truth) presents 20 minutes out of 40K+ hours of video, that's 100% compelling....

2) Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who was depicted by the January 6 committee as a coward who ran, alone, from the mob, in fact, followed police directions and left an area with many other legislators.

3) Officer Brian Sicknick, who has repeatedly been depicted as an officer who was murdered by violent insurrectionists in the Capitol on January 6, can be seen walking around unharmed in the Capitol after he is supposed to have been killed.

Also, Carlson explicitly said that some people were violent at the Capitol on January 6.

Tucker showed less than 4 minutes of footage that hadn't been seen before. Actually, it was slightly less than four minutes. All heavily edited, with the intent to deceive (Tucker's go to for ratings).
