What? Lol where did you hear that? No I’m a law abiding citizen of the USA and I pay my taxes.

And I feel like that’s a good setup for a false quote but can’t think of anything clever. Could be anything really.

why do people ITT bother posting absolute returns instead of % returns? Like its meaningless to say what your $ return is unless you're also posting your total balance

I've really struggled with the decision of not including NVDA in my portfolio (other than what is included in QQQ and VOO - which is a lot still given NVDA's $500M market cap), but ultimately I feel comfortable with AMD's ability to scale with the GPU market, combined with their significantly lower price multiples and overall more diversification than NVDA (srs) I don't doubt NVDA and wouldn't short them, but I am a big AMD fan

Neither of those figures are meaningful unless youve been reaping those returns over a number of years. Any dimwit could have made double digit returns in bull years. Fuk, even if you held value and big tech stocks through 2020 you could have had 20-30 returns.

BTW % returns in a lot of cases are meaningless as well. I certainly dont trade with 500k like I did when I had 5k. For example, option traders usually only post % because they only trade with a couple hundred at a time at most because the majority of option trades are low probability when you are buying premium. Trading with more money would easily blow up their account in a month.

Regardless, if someone is actively trading and working on a real strategy instead of yolo picks, and making a single dollar, then congratulations to them because it isnt easy. Ill bet 90% of the people here will not be here next year simply because theyre just winging it or following someone elses picks.

NVIDIA has that founder magic and will outperform all other semiconductor companies in our lifetime…. At least as long as Jensen is at the helm.

inb4 OPEC has a late night news release tonight or tomorrow that they've reached a deal. Bunch of attention seekers.

Too bad Line 3 + TMX aren't online right now!

Need to keep WCS spread large so the refinery can make those hyooooge gains on spread haha

Seems like stock prices have priced in 70-80$ bbl already. Either that or they think it's going to tank. Then again I don't know shyt about phuk

At least we have work proceeding on TMX and Line 3 looks set to complete

Yeah seems like people are waiting to see how long this lasts and maybe to see what companies do when Q2 reports hit, strong dividends + buybacks should bump up prices. Valuations for most companies are still where they should be trading if oil is at $50ish, not almost $80

Here is all my stocks. Bought my first stocks Dec 2018, $3k into SWTSX an index fund. Bought right before the Dec. crash, derp. Anyways I met with a financial advisor last week and they created a plan for me. I have $90k in a savings account and $20k in checkings. I know I know. They recommended me moving 90% over into some funds. I also have an IRA with about 12k in it. I keep telling myself the next dip I'll add more money. I don't know why it's so hard for me to move large sums into my trading accounts. I keep kicking myself for not putting more in last spring during the covid crash.

Buy Tesla before this bounce possibly for a swing trade. Could go lower though.
