Now I'm wondering should I sell BTC just before the fork and buy more WTC or take the chance on the new coin after the f0rk.

They won't be able to make up the ground BTC has made so for a lot of alts their BTC value might never recover but the USD value will recover for almost everything.

Why do you think they will moon?

They didn't moon after BCH fork and BTC kept mooning until the China FUD.

Buy on gdax with your coinbase account (same company) so you can use the same login/bank account. Then just transfer over to coinbase if you really want or to another wallet if you have one. 0.25% fee vs 1.5%-4%, it's a no brainer.

What about the dec fork then?

All these attacks and btc keeps growing stronger. I do think there will be a correction soon though. I really do hope it drops to 5k again temp so I can fill my order. Then off to the races. I am done with this nonsense.

Just going to hold. No more buys, no more trades, etc. Just hold and wait it out for a few years. I don't think I am wired like you guys. Can't handle the stress of alts and icos. Have to be on the ball everyday, up to the latest news each hour.

No thanks. Just want to hold my btc and eth and live in peace for a while. Maybe cash out once I really need the money in a few years when I finally start my own business or buy a house. Until then farewell. See you guys later.

Scalping is only realistically possible with leverage or during REALLY volatile times on spot 1x.

But trust me, it's possible. And very profitable if you have the mentality to do it right.

What alts are you holding? MCC seems to be big on zen. Though its been bleeding dry the past few days. I can never tell which alts seem promising because it is always the same.

'The team behind this revolutionary vision, blah, blah. Amazing new blockchain tech that will change blah, blah. Smart contracts and well known investors backing this project, blah blah'

Every single alt coin has the same story. It feels like trying to pick a needle out of a haystack. Way too much hype, shilling and outright lies to really know what you are getting into.

At least with established coins you kinda know the general trend and know it won't just collapse overnight.

So much this. It's all just smoke and mirrors. They throw out buzzwords like "technology", "project", "blockchain", "team", people's names etc. to hype it up. And then it inevitably crashes back down into obscurity as everyone moves to the next hypecoin. What happened to "oh I really believe in the technology so I'm holding long term". Obviously you didn't because 99% of people sold it when it crashed. "I believe in the technology" is just low key shilling imo

Fuk it all and stick to the established coins unless you want to risk losing all your money

Got my account verified with GDAX, I'm not sure if I should use bittrex now to mess around with the alt coins. Looks like there Seattle based like myself.

Going to listen to ShoesLaces and wait until the segwit2x before I purchase any BTC since I'm already very late.

is there any value in holding less than 1 btc? After the fork I wanted to buy 1 BTC for $7k or whatever the new value may be.

Looks like you need to do alot more research before you buy anything.

This is the worst time to "mess" with any alts. they're dropping like boulders off a steep cliff. The BTC price should dip a bit after the Segwit fork which is around the 16th. People usually pull out of BTC once they get their free S2X fork coins. Cheaper BTC, Cheaper $ cost average, meaning you pay less for alts. The best time to buy alts, if you already own BTC and want to buy alts will be around November 15

Has anyone noticed? ETHCONNECT is giving every user a private ETH wallet address to deposit. Usually every ICO requests fund to be sent to their Smartcontract address which they create for their token. I've participated in many ICOs, the Ethereum smartcontract address is where participants are required to send funds to. Shady AF. This is my first scam coin investment. So i might not know WTF I'm talking about.

Yes i know, we were warned. Laughing in the face of danger. Crying after we all get scammed.

Not sure which deposit you're talking about. You could buy BTC and gain some profit if you're planning on cashing out of BTC back into fiat. When you buy BTC, the satoshi amount (fractions of bitcoin) doesnt move up or down unless you trade the BTC for alt coins

Do some more reading and watch Youtube videos. Be careful who you take advice/tips from. Even the most honest/sincere people have their own agendas.
