Nice little practice run for us Floridians to make sure you have hurricane supplies stashed away for every year. It’s better to have supplies stored away then running around like a chicken with no head fighting over supplies with all the desperate crazies. I learned my lesson after 2004 Hurricane Charley. Now I always keep a supply of duct tape , tarps, batteries, lights , generator, window a/c unit in my shed that I don’t touch just for these events. Been living here just about all my life and it seems like the past few years we are getting hit annually now.

oh yea. 3 heavy duty straps on it. 2 on the framework and 1 over the top. I still feel it could use another one. luckily I FOUND the remains of a ratchet and strap because the top came up a little short. I'm not there right now though.

Yea, I'm glad we didn't get hit, but it's kind of annoying the amount of prep and stress we put in, and it doesn't really even come close. Dorian pls, at least make me feel like it was worth putting these shutters up.
