im really confident in idex. done all the dd to my hearts content. i believe it will be 50 dollars + stock 2-3 years from now

Yeah, I'm strictly talking about my tech stocks. My doge is through the roof, which is great, but most of my money is in tech stocks and i'm getting wrecked there. Probably breaking even between the two. So i guess it's not all bad.

I have done it twice with enph... but I went heavy at what I tho it was the bottom so after the bounce I sold the "extra"

Sheesh, PLTR, TSLA, DKNG, killing me. I'm down on all of these. Should have just keep 100% of my money in an Index fund.

I don't know how much longer I can wait for these things to get back to even. Might just lock in my losses and put the money back into index funds.

what's your CB on TSLA? I see it hitting $700 at any point during this month. If you're concerned about swings, or just want out, just hang tight this month. EoY I see it closer to $900.

The question becomes whether you should hang in and wait for gains to return or if you could sell at a loss and then make more gains putting the funds into something else.

This is where you need to understand the companies you’re buying and have conviction in them. If you know what you’re buying and you know the current market isn’t representing reality, then just hold on and enjoy the ride because current price doesn’t tell you anything of substance.

This is me all the way. I've been an index investor for the last ten years. Over the last few months or I've decided to try out some single stocks. I picked a few that are winners, but my largest single stock positions are getting smoked. Meanwhile, my wifes Roth I keep 100% in VTSAX and it is absolute destroying my Roth.

If these were in a taxable, I probably would have pulled the plug a while ago. The fact that I can't touch the money until 59.5 anyways is what is keeping me holding. If they ever get back to even, i'm selling them quick and moving them back into the index fund.
