You would still need somebody to process those transactions like Square/Paypal/Visa/MA and they already have people on that.

Don't know about federal banks but Jp Morgan has been trying this for a couple years now.

I don't think GME will go back up this time. Think that's the reason DFV stopped posting updates.

bro there is no "short squeeze". This is just propaganda dished out by big money to make people buy and hold while they go long and short during the pump and dumps and everyone fell for it

no way you guys figured out how meme stocks work

the smart ones that made money left long time ago.

imagine thinking wsb or twitter or whatever other garbage site is not just pump and dump used by hedge funds

meme can also apply to ever stock atm

before covid things were priced to earnings / growth etc

now things are overvalued by 50% or more over year

good luck trying to justify that

market is hooked like on ******* on free money from fed.

have fun trying to turn that tap off

arem post above about people refusing to scale back on consumption and working for low wage is spot on going forward.

highly recommend this documentary from last night

I’m 99.9% sure Netflix will dump into it after earnings based on its charts and actual revenue/growth. Premium are way to expensive though unless you go deep otm but it likely dumps quite a bit

Brahs, I’m pretty stoned, but I think my brain meandered into something as I was getting more and more upset about how much I’ll have to start paying front desk employees if this $15 an hour to do entry level work thing catches on.

I think we’ll see what I’m going to coin, “The Amazonation” of employment. You read those news stories about employees getting fired by an app that collects data and an algorithm that makes the determination?

I was thinking about that McDonald’s issue and have just recently paid about $14 after tax for a pretty modest meal at Arby’s and deciding never again will I get swindled into paying that amount for a half hungry stomach full of mediocre chit. Theres no way they don’t aggressively cut staffing by 75% to reduce costs and prevent menu prices from getting out of control. Also remove manager and shift leader positions. Everyone has a wearable that tracks every piece of data about them, only the most efficient of employees are retained.

This starts with McDonald’s, becomes common practice at fast food, moves to Walmart, Target follows suit, then naturally grocery stores, Costco’s, etc. begin to, and it continues from there.

As employment at higher level skilled places becomes more competitive (tracking on construction workers, skilled trades, etc.) higher quality individuals will be culled from their respective careers and filter down to lower jobs to gain employment. This pushes talent down the food chain to lower jobs, forcing less efficient people out.

So while we’ll have the most fukking efficient people possible in many jobs where hard quant data can be taken, there will be drastically less jobs.

Anyways… what if there was a company that was well suited for data to take advantage of this. Like if a founder was Peter Thiel and the CEO was Alex Karp…

Also, just lol when people realize the reality of what federal legalization would do to cannabis stocks. BRB 60%+ tax, brb people bought the news on cannabis, now they’re gonna get burned by the reality when everyone realizes oh fuk.

There are 100% legit growers in Rec legal states that have said basically “we grew illegally before, we can do it again if the taxes are going to be that high”. Just lol at trying to compete with black market when you have Dem’s taxes and regulations bonking you. Sell your weed stocks last week.

x10000000 - you saw some of the regulars getting new equipment, subscription to services, flashing new stuff here and there… where you think that money came from?

imho this selling pressure over the last week is some of the institutional players getting out… they got in 10-15 so 2x or 3x your money is a no brainer

Pretty choppy waters looks like.

Doesn't seem like there is any safe havens right now. Everything getting hit.

Good opportunity for dat der black gold though. Can't see OPEC raising more than 500-700KBD a month until Dec 2022 even with UAE concessions.

All this COVID worries is fake news.
