Yes brother. Not only in investing but in life. Nobody knows wtf is going on.

Name of the game is defense, you can win as long as your still in. If you blow your load. That’s it ,no refund. Diversify and don’t make huge single bets. Once you have a cushion you can get aggro, because momentum and profit are on your side.

If a sector is down, everyone says I told you so because of this or that. But then it can completely turn around and you could have a couple of pump greens days, and everybody just shuts the fuk up and rides the green.

Man...... Everyone is a goddamn genius after **** happens. The truth is, no one know ****.
3/8 I said oil was too dam high at 65. I sold my TGA shares a couple days later at 1.89 avg. sometimes you can see markets getting too greedy/optimistic and can trade accordingly. Obviously you need to remember markets can trade irrationally longer than you can stay afloat depending on what you trade, but there is almost always something to be done regardless of the markets.

At 185? What’s your exp? You probably won’t get hit, but if your scarred you can exit early. You’ve already extracted max premium, might be expensive to get out. Or you could just roll.

yeah exactly those are my options. im new to options trading still getting the hang of it.. learning as i go

i didn't think id get hit either but then it tanked like 5% 2 days in a row lol. it's only 5USD away from strike now

expiry is 26th, so next friday

i think the best option if it gets closer to the strike is to roll it down and out - so to maybe early april for 175 or so, and hopefully collect a bit more premium for the roll. what do you think

im currently looking at around a 200usd loss to close the position

Betting HIM's is up big tomorrow. Good earnings report released right now.

Almost no debt, high liquidity, good revenue growth quarter to quarter. Not sold on some of their gimmicky products for hair loss etc, but numbers and that balance sheet don't lie.

If your option goes deep itm it could get exercised early. I think you’ll be fine tbh. I would let it burn some more and close a couple of days early, and roll it out a few months to hedge the loss with premium. Worst comes to worst you can sell calls against your position.

Damn good call. Might sell some puts. I’ll dive into the fundamentals after work.

i agree. cheers man.

i actually want to own abnb i think its a great business. but admittedly i set the strike higher than my ideal entry point, because any lower than 185 and the premiums weren't worth it to me (this was when it was at 202 lol)

Yeh and I don't think any of the major organizations expected it to stay at $65 for 2021, the EIA released their forecast at the beginning of this month and they assume WTI will average $57 this year and $55 in 2022. The EIA also has a reference Brent forecast of a steady rise up to $95/bbl (in 2020 dollars) by 2050 and a bull case of $175 in that same timeframe.

Understanding that short-term movements are a bigger deal to all the people who trade actively, there's really no need to lose our chit over spikes and dips from week to week

This is totally IMO, but I think we see some wicked spikes this summer as everyone tries to drive and fly everywhere to make up for lost vacays
