How they took him to the basement cells and beat him within an inch of his life. The perp looked up at them from the pool of blood he was lying in and said, "Where is the justice?" Head cop kneels down, takes off his sun glasses, and says ... "There's no justice here son, it's just us." Fuking brutal.

I remember catching a few episodes of NYPD Blue, but never really followed.....must of been because of David Caruso.
David Caruso sucked ass but it's worth watching that first season just to get a feel for the show. He left after that and it just kept getting better and better.

I always liked Frank on Homicide.. remember when he had a stroke that time? Dude was an amazing actor..

Wasn't NYPD Blue the show that "pushed the envelope" on network television nudity?

One of the male actors showed his butt or something. That's the extent to which I remember that show.

Yeah, a show like that wouldn't even get a notice now, but there was mad drama surrounding it when it first came on. This was in the early-mid 90's, and of course being on the puritanical ABC with it's family shows didn't help lol. But that was the gist of it... The occasional male ass cheek, or a split second of some side boob lol.

Shield was a legit show, not GOAT tier though, which is The Wire, Breaking Bad and GoT.

Watching American Gods now, impressed so far, also Gaiman is a fkn legend. I hope this leads to Sandman getting made over like 8+ seasons, would be epic.

Your excuse for not including SoA in the GOAT list better be that you didn't watch it yet...

Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that's arguably as nutritionally a powerhouse as broc****. You ever have cauliflower roasted with curry powder and turmeric?

I hate cauliflower. I wish I didn't, but I do. I really need to add more veggies to my meals on a consistent basis, so I need to think of ways to do that while keeping things tasty (for me). Spinach is more flexible than broc****, so perhaps I'll give some quick spinach recipes a try

What about salad greens? You like romaine, red leaf lettuce, butter lettuce, etc?

What about braised greens like collards, turnip greens, dandelion greens?

Yeah i like salad greens, but they're fiber (and nutrient) poor compared to the darker greens.

This seems pretty straightforward & easy

Don't think i've tried collards, turnip greens, or dandelion greens.

Sons of anarchy? Meh, got bored 3 seasons in, same with Dexter. Same with Vikings as well, though I think that's a better show. Takes a lot to keep me hooked on a TV show & I just don't watch a lot of TV. Last really good show I saw was True Detective, first season.

Just blend smoothies and call it a day.. You can get more down in one smoothie than you can in several meals imo. I'm not really a fan of vegetables, but tbh its not bad at all when you mix them all together in a liquid. I've been blending for ~ three years now.. Big discussion here.

Some creative recipes too. A few miscers even swear they have more energy from doing it, but I can't tell a difference.. Although it did lower my cholesterol in one year enough to where my doctor asked me what I was doing.

Fuark. That sounds like a brilliant idea

Cliffs? Will take some time to go through all 61 pages. Which recipe am I trying, and what is the macro breakdown of that recipe?

Cliffs? No cliffs and no recipe..

A lot of those guys seem to get carried away and make it more complicated than it has to be IMO. Me, I keep it simple.. I simply use a little broc****, carrot, red pepper, a handful of cucumber slices - and to give it some flavor a couple slices of apple and a handful of white seedless grapes. Maybe on some days I'll have a tomato on hand and will add a slice of that, and maybe another day I'll be out of red pepper or something, so I simply go with out it.. No biggie. But you can mix and match anything - like mixing it with OJ instead of water which I do sometimes. And I personally think kale is disgusting, so I don't use it ever. Somebody else might think it's the GOAT, etc. Just experiment until you find something that you like.

It looks disgusting, but it's really not bad at all with the apples and grapes. I've even added blueberries and strawberries for flavor before.

Some of those guys obsess over which blender to use too.. No need for that either, and the $30 one I got from Target works just fine.

Edit: Broc**** is censored?

I'll give it a try. Will probably do broc****, cilantro, kale, and apple as a first go. Will probably toss in some sweetner, or some calorie free maple syrup

Will report back

There's big arguments about juicing vs blending too.. I've got a juicer and gave that a try for a while. Shiit cost a fortune and the vast majority of it went down the garbage disposal since I was only keeping the juice. Plus you're missing out on fiber and a lot of other.... something when you juice.

I still have my juicer though and somebody told me once to make orange juice with it. Seemed like a great idea, but I shiit you not it took an entire bag of oranges to make ONE glass of juice lol. No thanks jeffrey.

Didn't even think of that. I don't have a juicer, but i do have a new killer blender. So i guess i'm blending. Blending also seems like less effort, and i'm a yuuuge fan of that lol

That's what I'm saying..

I really can't emphasise enough how little I care for vegetables. But we all want to be healthy and you need them, right? So like you were saying, you try to come up with different ways to cook them - when at the end of the day you still don't want to eat them. Been there, done that.

A blender gives you the ability to say fukit. Grind that shiit up, drink it down and call it a day.

My thoughts exactly

I do want to make sure the smoothie is at least somewhat tasty though. From my initial reading, that means I need to include fruit.

Yeah, no two ways about that.. Fruit is a must have because it covers up the raw vegetable taste. A little apple and some grapes, maybe some blueberries and you're set. And I haven't tried it myself, but some of those guys in the smoothie thread say they throw a scoop of protein into theirs.. That might be worth thinking about too.
