Crypto winter arrived a long time ago. Maximum hype arrived with with Safemoon and the Dogecoin nonsense.
I do think the next hype cycle will arrive quicker. ~1year possibly.
This is all part of the long term cycle game. I continue to hold regardless since 2017 and donโt stress about timing chit.

Alts are still op vs btc and weโve been seeing them dwindle downwards last few months vs BTC value.
I.e VET is at .000002 sats right now, was .000003 like a month ago and sold some them, will start buying back when it gets down to .0000015 to double my original bag with the same amount of BTC I sold for..or buy the original amount of VET I sold and keep half of the BTC, etc..
So Iโll trade my btc but Iโm not confident in the altcoin prices right now to use any usd to fill my bags unless they get a lot closer to where they were in price back in January.

I am hoping the musk interview with jack dorsey doesnt cause some fuked up reversal if elon says some mad bullish chit
If he doesn't, then i'll probably be comfortable waiting for another month or 2 to start DCAing
I'll see you on Mount Olympus

the best thing about bad times like these are when youre knee deep in the defi world. i wont be claiming any returns tonight because gas fees are quite ridiculous but you actually make really good returns in your token of choice if you have substantial capital to put on the table up front (just like in the traditional finance world). i never realized until i had time to actually study wtf defi was.
then the whole concept of "impermanent loss" which scared me sht less. but after extensive research, i feel that concept is overblown. unless youre emotional, jumpy, and quick to withdraw funds. all good if you intend to let that sht ride for a length of time. still have a lot to learn though so dont ask me sht. im a terrible source ol
as a guy who normally uses cold storage, security is probably my biggest concern, but i'll continue to learn, weigh, and risk manage that aspect. so far this is nice because my portfolio is in the trash can

I remember when i first provided liquidity for a chitcoin/eth and the chitcoin tanked to like nothing, i didnt realise you lose most of your eth as well.
Only way its not permanent is if the coins return to the price when you started providing liquidity.

for me it's all about the token that is being farmed. it's most fun when your sole focus is getting as much of THAT token as possible.

ETH
SHIB
BONE
SHIB, yep, shiba inu...cant believe im saying it. is the ultimate dark horse. i dont even talk about it because it's laughed off as a meme coin. this coming from a guy who pukes when people pump meme coins.
BONE is just the governance token for SHIB which will be a monster in it's own right. im not going to mention it here much because SHIB has a terrible wrap as a meme, but it's going to eclipse UNI and Pancake due to the ecosystem that they are building

Really interesting to see how different everyone's fundamental selections are. Will be looking into all of them when i get some down time.
Will be cancelling all but my oldest credit card lines (for the credit score history) and strictly using my crypto.com debit card for purchases. The 5% "cash back" is really 5% back in CRO. That could compoundhugelyover a 2 or 3 year term if crypto.com continues to grow out its brand and ecosystem.

similar to you i do need to re-design my spending method. actually been meaning to buckle down and figure that our for a while now.
cash back in CRO.... omggggggg. that's one of those things that if you implement into your life now, the difference that it makes long term could be quite insane.

Dogecoin started crashing May 9th and shortly after so did alt season as a whole.
These were the replies I got
I'm not saying "look at me I got it right, i'm so smart" but i think in general as people should know by now, when every Tom, Dick, and Harry + Jamaal and Stacy all think it's a gold mine and can't lose....good indicator its peaked.
The grayscale unlock didn't do a ton of damage. The next date window to watch is last week of august. That's supposed to be some federal reserve meeting that some are predicting will crash the stock market, and we all know BTC goes as SPY goes more often than not. So i'm sitting in 50% cash until then. IF you went all cash in May though you're sitting really pretty. For me I would have needed to cash out in March if I wanted to keep 100% of my unrealized gainz. left 120k on the table. fuking hurts.

I don't think this is the end of this cycle. I think worst case we see the correction to 24700 to 26000 range and then we're pamping back up.
