now i see why people talk so much about defi. i was just so deep into my career, working something like 65 hours a week, tired af and not wanting to spend my last bit of energy trying to figure out defi. so glad i finally buckled down and got into it. of course i do see how one can get rekt, but the more analytical folks will be fine. it's people that just jump in blindly to things that get smoked... but that happens outside of defi as well

Started tracking my CRO earnings with my debit card spend. I've earned 500 CRO tokens in just a week. Pay my rent with it, it's a 6.95 debit card fee, but i get back nearly $52 in CRO. Now imagine a full year of spending and if CRO climbs to being $1 in the next year or two. would be crazy, and that's not counting if I choose to reinvest that CRO into their 6% earnings with 6 months staking.

Binance has a 49Billion market cap. Crypto.com is only 2.8Billion... TONS of upward growth potential

yep one of the newer financial life hacks that crypto offers.
those types of benefits are one of the highest values to me right now because im looking for sht i'll be using even during extended bear markets. continuous accumulation of high value, high potential tokens via alternative methods (not directly purchasing) is a big fcking deal.

Yeah there was a flurry of optimism over the last 48 hours but it only looks promising if you're looking at a BTC chart that's 1 week long.

The 3 month, or even the 1 month chart looks as bad as it ever did. Looks like we need to "close" comfortably above 33,000 or we're still at risk of a downturn.

That aside, my highly educated (via youtube and blog reading) mind has me thinking we need to worry from a macro-economic standpoint. You've got that secret-squirrel federal reserve meeting in wyoming at the end of august. I haven't seen the words "shutdown" or "lockdown" but i have seen the words "mitigations" used if numbers keep rising. Stock market is a pre indicator of economy which means that COVID effects has already been counted in the market price.
Fed prints a lot of money, and these money eventually goes to market. COVID is a manageable risk with current technology. So even if the market crashes, it won’t crash long.

I assume you are holding cash to reduce the risk, but meanwhile you invest money only in alt coins. Any reason cro and vet are safer than btc?
The way I manage my risk is that if I fall asleep in 10 years, and I wake up after 10 years, my investments money will still be there, then I am willing to put my money in. I have the confidence in BTC, but not so much in alt coins. But I know you guys are more experienced than me in alt coins, so I am interested in learning.

Split personality investor. Part yolo in memes, part long term "10 year holder". I made 40k last year just by dumping money into DOGE and XRP when I saw the morons at satoshistreet bets organizing pumps, then dumping my holds just before the "pump".

My CRO and VET positions is the boomer investor in me as "10 year holds". They will definitely crash as BTC crashes, but the upside of return potential on both of these is higher than BTC. If BTC returns to 60k then i can assure you VET is returning to .18 cents minimum. So do you want to make 2X on your BTC or 3X on VET. There are a bunch of Alts that will give exponentially higher returns in the short term when BTC flips bullish, BUT the ultimate goal is to sell into SATS not USD. Me being 50% in cash is reducing my exposure in the event BTC corrects down with SPY, in which case I'll look at big alt projects with utility and scoop them up when they inevitably follow BTC downward. In addition to CRO/VET... Matic, kusama, link, dot, xrp, atom are all worth a look for those short term spikes against SATs

i still have a long open from 29.5k.. i am holding this one and have accepted that its ok to get stopped out. a scam wick on weekends will be brutal.. but hey..it is just another trade.

Price is going down only thing is how much. Don’t think we break 30k again. If you just short it at 70 RSI on the hourly you’ve been making money the past 2 months. It hung out there for almost 2 days which is a very long time. Market isn’t recovering because all the hype is gone and retail exited completely. Exchange volume is lower than January. Only people trading are bots and leveraged whales. China and their liquidity which is the second biggest market is also banned. Don’t see how it recovers from that anytime soon

They are hiring crypto product lead managers. seems like they are gonna start onboarding crypto payments.

yeah another dip is likely, but those calling for 24k, i just dont know about that. like i said before somebody dumped $2bil on coinbase spot and we dumped $1k in btc lmao. people underestimate how much it takes to get to $24k.
we are going to play in our usual range for a bit.

i am worried about the marco-economic environement but moreso for 2022 and beyond. i need one more big crypto boom before the economic world takes a multi year sht. i want to play vulture like the traditional whales do it. it's technically what many of us have been doing in the crypto bear market (accumulation).

I want to buy real estate for pennies on the dollar. haha yes world domination

yeah i saw that. that was my realm when i was in the corporate world. would have loved to apply for the role, but then again fck working in the corporate world.
i wonder what percentage of the PMs they hire are one bull run away from retiring lol. i imagine that could be a challenge in looking to hire somebody knowledgable to manage the business side of their crypto operations/strategy.

We were just at 36K a few weeks ago. I have no idea if we are going back to 60K or 20K, all I know is I won't be bag holding.
