I suspect it was an issue with the PWM , dunno. I already use blu blocker glasses so it wasn’t excessive blue light

Or my grocery store sucks. It’s pretty crazy. It’s something that has been driving me nuts for a few months. I keep buying different kinds and they don’t last at all.
Dont buy bagged ,hand pick and inspect each one out of loose bin
Not even sure that’s an option but I’ll check next time I go.

Go to a different store

The loose ones tend to have food wax coating ,plus the others are in a plastic bag at room temp ,that's your problem

Storing apples in a plastic bag at room temperature isn't ideal because they ripen and spoil much faster (days instead of weeks/months), losing flavor and texture due to heat and ethylene gas buildup in the sealed bag; they need cool, humid conditions (like a fridge) and ventilation, or a cool, dark spot (50-60°F) for longer storage, but never sealed tight at warm temps.

Those little holes in the bag are bs
