One thing I'll mention right now - only a few hair stylists actually know how to properly cut curly hair (they actually have to take additional training), so you'll need to do some asking around to find one.

They exist. My wife went to one for years. Her current one is Korean. It's all a matter of if they wanted to spend the extra money on training.

Leave the curls, but, it's at the weird mid length where you need to either let it grow out, or give up and cut it shorter.

It's only been a year and I'm going to continue growing it out.
