I'm debating going there or Sydney for my birthday this year. Not for sloots or anything, just to spend a week or two walking around and exploring.

Hopefully I didn't jinx myself and I end up going. Looks sick.

The city is fucking enormous, like twice the number of people as New York, but there are no skyscrapers, it's very spread out. There is an upscale touristy area near the Hegia Sophia, but a lot of the city looks like the pics he posted, those buildings are old as fuck, but not once did I feel unsafe there, even walking around by myself after dark in areas like he posted and not knowing where I was.

Minneapolis on the other hand, I felt watched and unsafe most of the time I was there. So Brad's safer in the slums of Istanbul than in a major metro area in the US.
. Everywhere in istanbul is safer than the US where 18year olds can have guns immediately.
