right, that's what I was saying - its easy to cheat because you can just keep your shoulder blades contracted so you don't reach as high. then when you jump you fully stretch out and get a few more inches

Retracting your shoulders, leaning back, and slightly unlocking your knees can reduce your standing reach by several inches, thus giving you a higher score.

NBA elite level starts at 35'?? lmao i don't have a phone atm but i'll get my sis to take a video of me jumping and touching the ceiling with my palm (not even finger tips) and it;'s definitely higher than 2.9ft (35')
