Sounds like this thread hit close to home and got you really upset. Funny thing is I have seen a couple of accounts doing the same exact thing you do with the same exact post style. It's obvious you're running a number of internet warrior alts around here and just about every post you make is you being a toxic asshole but unlike you I don't go around stalking users I don't like and screen capping every comment I can take out of context. My opinion of you couldn't be any lower, you have proven to me many times how you're a complete loser who is terminally online and tries to bully people on the internet while hiding behind a keyboard. NGL though. I wish bb dot com would bring a forum back and advertise it. I know things will never be the same, but it would be better than nthing. They had posted on Instapuke back in December that they made a mistake, presumably about the forums, so 2026 would see changes, but never followed up on it.

I have been around enough forums long enough to be able to recognize the patterns of when their community is only declining and the atmosphere is only going to continue to get worse. This forum now almost mirrors every forum I gave up on that completely fell apart never to recover.

Forums in general, outside of reddit at least, have been on a decline for the past 10 - 15 years. It seems like the only people interested in most forums are millennials and gen xers who grew up using forums, nobody younger seems to be interested. Even among the main demographic for forums they at best only seem to be able to maintain a loyal userbase, never really getting genuine new users.

I thought this place might have a chance at being a decent small community forum as the misc had a lot of great users and many of them continued on to newmisc back when bodybuilding.com shut down the original forum. Thing is I think we have gradually lost too many good users since the OG misc shut down and lost even more after newmisc shut down.

Now we're at the point where a forum is clearly circling the drain. It's easily identifiable by when the majority of relaxed, normal, proactive, genuine people have left and the majority becomes a clique of terminally online losers who are extremely hostile towards anyone outside of the small group of dysfunctional assholes they can actually get along with.

Basically there's a big difference between playful banter with aggressive but well intentioned motivations and being a hateful asshole with malicious intentions. OG misc really leaned heavily into the former while OB misc leans heavily into the latter. This is usually accomplished with either targeted and biased moderation or a lack of moderation in general, but I think the way we keep jumping around from forum to forum really sped up the process.

Now, this forum just has a very toxic and hateful atmosphere, with a clique of highly aggressive users running around who seems to have absolutely nothing better to do besides obsess over users they don't like and fuck with them. This has basically turned this forum into a sociopathic playground. Miserable assholes trying to make anyone who isn't as miserable as they are as miserable as they are.

We used to joke about miscers being 10k a day CEO's, loads of miscers would be sharing their fun productive lives and giving helpful lifestyle advice, but that is history long gone. Now the average miscer comes off as a seething terminally online loser who couldn't function in any civilized setting, the kind of people who need to be on a small forum in a dark corner of the internet because their behavior would get them swiftly banned from any large platform.

To make matters worse this site just doesn't seem to have any sort of decent management or leadership. I had to make two attempts to post this thread because the site went down for an hour the first time, and there is nothing unusual about it going down at random like that. Nobody seems to know who AllFather is, and he barely has a presence here never posting casually. He keeps talking about how he is supposedly going to add new features, told us a month ago how notifications would be coming real soon but nothing came of it. He doesn't seem to do much in the way of moderating either, had all this talk about rules and community standards that he never seems to enforce and we never got any moderators, it's just him as a lone admin and that is it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this site does a repeat of newmisc and simply shuts down one day with no warning.

I just don't see the point of this forum anymore unless you're the type of person who simply enjoys trolling or being highly toxic towards other people and fighting with them on the internet. This is just not a place that would appeal to anybody who has their shit together and has anything of value to share with others. I can confidently say there is no way this forum is going to attract new users anymore, it's not even really discoverable on any major search engines. Even if anyone new could somehow miraculously find this place and register, it would only be a short matter of time until they deal with loads of hostility, have the usual suspects fuck with their account and say fuck this place and move on with their life.

Speaking of the usual suspects, I imagine they will show up within minutes of me posting this to spew their usual insults and perform their usual attacks, but I really don't give a shit. All the hostility I am sure to receive will merely act of proof backing up my assessment. I have seen how forums like this end up and it's a sad sight to see,
