I don't add beef fat to anything.

CWD isnt really a thing where I am.

When I do ground, it is pretty lean. Wife makes shepherds pie, ground ven and rice dishes and stuff, and it always tastes great. Super lean, and I know lots of guys do add pork or beef, but I do not.

I dont make sausage. I have, but dont do it regularly. That for sure benefits from fat added. I tr and turn as much as I can into steak, then stew meat, then ground.

I wanna start doing my own I been taking it to a processor but I’m paranoid about getting my brain raped by CWD. And you know a commercial processor who does hundreds of deer with the same equipment is gonna have traces of it on his equipment if he’s ever had a CWD infected deer before

Its pretty easy. Takes a while, but you are in total control.

YouTube is your friend, and take the extra time to trim off as much fat as possible
