Yep
No one would ever hear from me again. I’d delete LinkedIn, sell my things and euromaxx. Be outside by the water as much as possible, sleep in till noon, eat the healthiest foods and workout.
No idea why North Americans have this constant need to torture themselves and live such stressful lives trying to climb the corporate ladder. It’s really beyond me. I guess that’s why I’ll never be a c suite.

Balding is death. If you have no hair, you have no life.

It would be interesting to see some sort of statistically significant analysis that shows a correlation between new cfo hires and cost savings.

There is a bit of behavioural science research that shows there is a very small difference in performance between the top-rated CEO and the tenth; but a big difference in remuneration (they suggest a “moneyball” approach to hiring, one even going so far as to suggest a reverse auction to invite bids from prospective CEOs)
There’s also a lot of research to say that “performance based” CEO remuneration packages often rely on things that are subject to general economic conditions as opposed to their specific performance.
I would say the CEO themself influences outcomes at the margins, but the margins are important

Ostensibly being responsible for decisions that can make or break a company. But when you take their $15m+ golden parachute into account, it's basically a zero pressure role.
