If you're going to be a warmonger, at least have the balls to fight yourself. Hitler at least had that, he was twice awarded the iron cross for bravery during WW1. Also, whatever it is he did, he honestly believed it was for the good of Germany rather than for personal gain.

I'd say Hitler was a pretty good guy when you compare him to most politicians.

He was never close to victory. He possibly could have bided time more by delaying the Soviet Union invasion and just built up defenses on the eastern border, but Stalin always intended on invading eastern Europe; making peace with Germany initially was a strategy so that the west would recognize only Germany as the aggressor in Poland, and Germany would then feel free to wage war on Western Europe. He probably didn't expect Hitler to invade him, at least not so soon, which is likely why Hitler did it.

Who is to say what happens if Germany is able to extend the war on longer and didn't lose so much manpower and supplies when the snow fell. But winning the war for Germany was always a steep uphill battle, even if you reduce the definition of winning to Germany just remaining under NSDAP control and out of Allied and Soviet control.

His economic policies from the start were also not sustainable. They were predicated on constant expansion and enriching Germany with the spoils of the conquered. The primary purpose of Hitler's system for industry on the home front was to support aggressive expansion, with no consideration given to any hypothetical peace time after war becomes unnecessary. Constant military aggression is not feasible though, and eventually leads to way more problems than benefits, as we've seen with our own country's exploits in the 20th and 21st centuries. Not to mention he was unknowingly partially funded by Zionists who funneled him money from Wall Street and from German firms through the Warburgs under a false name. They initially viewed him as a lesser evil to Stalin and they thought they could control him by controlling his funding. They didn't know he would take control of the banks and the money printing in Germany, and they quickly realized that he was a far bigger threat to their interests than Stalin.

Point being Germany was never close to accomplishing any of Hitler's goals. They were far short of the manpower needed, and their economic situation was unsustainable. He definitely made some big tactical mistakes, but even given a perfect gameplan I don't think there was a winning formula there.

Start at 9:30 or 1933. NO matter what he did, this is an incredible achievement that has only been made by a handful of empires in the last 500 years.
