my last speeding ticket was when I was 19 and i'm 37 now. I did get arrested in 2022 for fleeing though lol
Regardless, just plead not guilty, tell them you don't believe you were speeding, and they'll have to prove it. Even if they do, the ticket will probably get reduced unless the incident in 2022 is going to bias the court against you. For example, if in 2022 you were arrested for fleeing from a hit and run or something related to a traffic violation, you're probably screwed without a lawyer.

I simply do not understand how this is even a question.
It is a fact, that it is in your best interest to evoke all of your civil liberties when it comes to conflict with the government.
Make them prove it. Every single time.
If he used radar, get the required calibration card and documented calibrations tests. If he paced you, get his vehicles speedometer calibration certificate. They might not have these and their “evidence” is irrelevant.
You should first call the prosecutor and see if they would be willing to make you a deal. Obviously, do not admit guilt during this process. Many jurisdictions will work with you if the offense was not that significant, and you have a clean record. What that would look like is something like you pay the fee and take a two hour training course online, and it will be processed as a non moving violation that stays off your record.
If you plea no contest, you will pay max amount allowable by law and it will effect your driving record.
If you fight it, it could get thrown out or the consequences decreased.
I do not have law enforcement hookups and I have had tickets thrown out by simply speaking with the prosecutor before the court date.
This practice is also great personal development concerning assertive communication and conflict resolution.
Good luck bru

the thing is i'm 90% sure the cop lied about me speeding. I dont even think I was even going 30. the reason is I had just turned and there was a red light upon me turning so for me to floor it and get up to 47 doesnt even make sense. he also told me that is where he clocked me speeding and then pulled me over several street over and after I turned on another street. also him saying "i have a special device that only I have" was a huge red flag. I asked him if he was the sheriff and that's why "only he has the device". He wasnt obviously.
Remember, the institution is actually corrupt. Quotas are a thing. Cops lie. Record all encounters.

The government has nothing to do with morals. There is no need to be honest. (Don’t lie, simply don’t answer questions) You do not have to obey, you don’t have to answer to them.
Doing anything with a cop or the justice system other than evoking your civil liberties is inherently against your best interest.

Small town PDs have nothing better to do than waste their time handing out tickets or handling drunk and disorderlies
I wouldn’t have stopped you in a rural area for going 12 over but best you can do is hope court falls on the officers day off or he has a more important arrest to testify at a similar time that day and doesn’t feel like showing up 🤷🏻♀️
I can almost guarantee he won’t show if it’s his day off though 🙏

You mail the ticket in 2 days before court date ,not guilty
They send you a trial date ,usually 2 months out
30 days before the trial date ,you call and request an adjournment, theyll usually grant you one ,tell them youll be away on business
Depending how busy the court is ,I've stretched it out a year before pleading guilty to parking on pavement
47 in a 35 is nothing
I got a 120 in a 40 once ,hehe
Lost the Ole license
