The number of colleges may play a part (there's like 100 of them or something, srs) because women outnumber men there. Also it's a hub for the theater and fashion industries, again woman heavy. Plus you get plenty of sloots moving there to try and make something of themselves, whereas I feel men doing the same tend to either work abroad, get a job on a rig, take a job in a small town with good pay, etc.

I could be wrong but those are all likely to play a part.

i remember telling my GF, now ex-gf that going to india with her sister would be a really bad idea. They are so stupid some women its unbelievable, eventually she caved and went to south africa instead. which isnt much better but atleast she wasnt gonna get raped. maybe just mugged
