Get a job, work on your relationship with your girl, build a future and eventually a family.

I’ve literally never had sleep paralysis before in my life (srs).
Always blows my mind when I hear stories like this. There seems to be a universal experience of people seeing dark figures trying to attack them while they’re vulnerable.
Hope it never happens to me fuarrk.

I was a hardcore atheist then too. It's not a dream, you wake up in bed and sense an evil presence whole you're wide awake
I just pretended it didn't happen
It wasn't until years later that I saw the term sleep paralysis and that made me feel better there was some term for it. But why would my mind hallucinate something I don't even believe in. I don't think Batman is real and never hallucinated him while wide awake and sober. So that's a lame explanation

Actually you’ve just reminded me, when I was a little kid (younger than 5) I used to see shadow people in my room (ded fkin srs).
No discernible features, they just looked like floating silhouettes. These motherfuckers would stand around my bed sometimes 2-3 deep, terrifying me to the point I’d pull the covers over my eyes hoping they’d go away, but when I peeked out again they were always still there.
When I was a kid I had a half-door and could see into the hallway from my bed. One night I remember seeing the clearest version of these figures in the form of a guy wearing an old school hat. He was standing on a ladder in my hallway looking back into my room. I’ll never forget the way he looked or the fear his presence struck in me.
A couple years ago (now I’m in my late 20s) I was reading creepy stories online and came across the “Hat Man”. Supposedly a demonic shadow figure who appeared as the silhouette of a man wearing a trench coat and old style fedora hat. Maybe that’s who I saw?
I was never paralyzed though and this always happened before I fell asleep. So I don’t consider it “sleep paralysis” just a creepy experience as a young child.
Maybe it was just the overactive imagination of an underdeveloped mind. Maybe there’s more to this universe than we understand. But it 100% really happened srs.

Jesus was his son who he sent to earth and obviously still a god now

It only happened at a young age, not when I grew older

I guess there are two takes
1. The developing brain is more likely to make hallucinations during low light conditions
Or
2. It's real and young children are born with a spiritual connection that dissipates. I hear people say things like that, that kids see ghosts more than adults or whatever
I'm leaning on 1. but the world Is so crazy so I wouldn't be shocked the least if it's 2
