The perfect example of what happens when sports becomes about politics. Most people want to see fights & trash talk from the fighters to each other, not turning into here comes the president pretty much every show, sucking up to him & now holding an event at his property & turning it into a political convention. Sport is supposed to be an escape from the real world-not rubbing it in your face for hours.
even the trash talking has become like a soap opera drama...always trying to take it to the next look-at-me level to get dudes talking around the water cooler. everything has become about getting attention and reactions...now I can see why my dad liked the players that were low drama, didn't say much, didn't go out of their way to draw attention and just went out and played. now people are in character 24/7 because it's all about getting reactions...good or bad. somebody did say there's no such thing as bad publicity though. 🤷‍♂️
