I have a friend who was a nurse in maternity which was her dream but she said she couldn't handle it because it would disturb her seeing babies go home with parents she knew would be horrible.

Story she told me:

Mom comes in with her friend, she reeks like cigarettes and weed, somewhat strung out, no pre-nadal care, she just came in preggo with no history of any doctor's visits.

Good thing the baby was born healthy.

Boyfriend shows up, immediately starts arguing. She said he was the dad but he wouldn't have any part of signing anything.

She is free to leave with the baby, she gave more care to her purse than she didn the baby, acted like she almost forgot the baby.

Boyfriend pulls up and picks them up, smoking a cig in the car. They immediatly start fighting.

That kid doesn't have a chance.

There is something very very wrong with a woman who's motherly instincts don't ever kick in.
