You haven't seen the shift of them bringing MLS here, David Beckham coming over to play and the media shoving his first match on like 60 minutes and all of our major news networks talking about it and showing Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes being there for it? Then the gradual soccer, soccer, soccer promos of showing it regularly on tv? When the hell was soccer ever on ESPN or any network I watched growing up? It's slowly but surely became more and more regular and the media keeps covering it and forcing it like they want it to be big and us embrace it. Arthur Blank is no dumbass financially. He didn't buy our MLS team if it was something he wasn't going to get rich off of. He saw the same and knew it was already being pushed and would continue to be pushed and their was growing interest of it bc the kids today don't have Michael Jordan to watch anymore of the NBA. I haven't met any youth that cares anything that cares about bball like I did. They all play volleyball or soccer, or just do nothing other than play video games.

Personally I've grown to appreciate it and they're obviously really skilled at what they do. I don't understand the first thing about it or what makes somebody the greatest in the world vs the other Joe, but they destroyed our own sports and made them unwatchable full of unlikeable phags so.................

Only player I've seen in years bball wise that has took my back to the 90s of just that alpha dog and holy shit fun to watch is Caleb Wilson from UNC this past season. That dude is a joy to watch and seems like a good kid. Plus he's from Atlanta.

I wish we would bring back the glory days of our own sports but it doesn't seem like that's in the cards. Networks, money, contracts, zero likeable or players you would admire (hell I think all dad's in the 90s admired MJ and knew he was a once in a lifetime athlete. Same with Barry Bonds in baseball.) NIL and all the other stuff in college sports. It's just ruined and not fun anymore. Too much money has gotten involved and ruined it.

At least at a soccer match, or even a silly MLS match you can be around latinas partying and having fun and meeting a different culture not ruined by people that hate their own country like so many do here in the USA.

I'm rooting for the same srs. I've watched it on and off for years but this is the first time where I've been following it like crazy. The world is so shitty at the moment but watching this makes me smile, and forget about everything else. I think it makes people happy and brings them together.

The Colombia crowd at the Telemundo event for their match 2 weekends ago here was awesome. I was in heaven.

If you've never watched the 2 Escobars from ESPN's 30 for the 30 watch it. That is the greatest sports documentary I've ever seen. Goes all into the drug nature of Pablo and his love of soccer and how he built the communities into the team they became, would fly them to drug matches vs Mexico's largest drug dealer vs his Mexican team. Refs getting killed for calls he was mad about, and then Andres died after he kicked the ball into his own goal by accident. Pablo was dead and it was fair game in Colombia with no real boss and the Cali Cartel took over the Medellin Cartel. If Pablo had been around nobody would have ever killed that dude bc he would have murdered them and their 3-4 generation families. Andres was supposedly just a really humble Christian guy that wanted nothing to do with that and the whole team was stuck with being associated with Pablo and a drug country and crime and violence. It's an awesome watch.

From there it will show like USA -130 whoever +120 tie +100. USA -1 -150 USA -1.5 -200. If you just want to bet the USA to win you click USA ML -130 and risk whatever you want.

FYI if it goes to penalty kicks then your ML bet loses. The limits on these things are so high so I highly doubt the books are making a giant error but they're wrong from time to time. Couldn't believe the lines they hung of Boston vs the Kobe Lakers the year they had KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce in the finals. The limits were high as could get but even me was like "wtf is this?
