yeah. pretty much what I suspected. early actual people reviews are mixed at best. they (the jews) were obviously being very coy about the movie for a reason....

I notice most new movies & shows do the whole "music louder than the dialogue" nonsense nowadays. I think they are just trying too hard to make the scenes more dramatic than they actually are.

shocked more movies dont use music to manipulate the viewer. just totally have a musical undertone running the entire movie. just having a rhythym is enough.

First, I did not pay to see this and I would not pay to see it.

Second, the movie is very very VERY average. If I did not know that Nolan directed it? I would never have guessed that he did. It just seemed like a movie that a lot of money was spent on but nothing wowed you. Acting was very average. I did not think any of the performances were noteworthy and some of the actors were miscast. Matt Damon for example. He just does not seem like an Odysseus to me and of course you had the mandatory DEI people involved like Zendeya, Ellen Page and wtf Travis Scott!!?? I am assuming all so it could be nominated for Academy Awards as they have to check certain boxes to be eligible these days.

Story and editing was very average. Really seemed to jump around and scenes would end suddenly and skip to another like a bad B movie.

Dialogue was not believable at all. AT ALL. Really kind of took you out of the movie. I mean Damon screaming "Lettttsssssss Goooo" while leading a charge? Cmon mannnnnnn.

Was shot nicely and the music was ok. I hear people talking about the costumes and how bad they were. Nothing really struck me as bad or good....they just were....

Overall I think this movie got WAY too much pre game hype and unfortunately does not come anywhere close to living up to it.

I would give it a 2.5-3 stars out of 5. It will make a little money probably but no where close to what it could have. Once real reviews come out you will see the box office slow down plus I doubt if you have many 'see (and pay) it again' movie viewers which a movie needs to truly make a killing.

The ratings don't necessarily mean anything. If you cast a tranny along with a couple of token black and brown actors to replace historically white characters. You're guaranteed 'high' ratings from the start. What we've typically seen is ratings from the 'experts' rarely ever match the ratings from casual viewers. But what really matters is the profit margin. Historically super woke movies crash and burn. They spent 375 million making this film. They have a lot of ground to make up.


I might could look past a few token blacks and browns being cast. But I can't look past Elliot Page being cast as a 'warrior'. And Lupita Nyong being cast as Helen. Helen was supposed to be the most beautiful women in the world. A woman men fought and died over. But you cast a literal 1/10 to play her? Lmao.
