In his defense, aborting a person who might exist also ruins the life of a person who might exist.

On the topic at hand though: fukin new york, ya kunts, heaven forbid someone drink too much soda, but it's literally illegal to refuse a pregnant broad booze service. Huehuehue.

No I've never had an abortion. And no I don't support it as I mentioned in my first post.

I'm prochoice as far as abortion goes though, though I think the earlier the better, I don't agree with later ones. I must admit I'm unaware on what the cut off time for abortions in my area is.

Absolutely disgusting that some women would rather choose margaritas over their child's health. What are they going to do when the kid is born and they are faced with having to give up a lot more of their lifestyle than drinks on Friday night?

Liberals are so deluded they think any type of discrimination is evil and to be avoided.

Their moral relativism forces them to equate refusing a pregnant woman alcohol with banning a black man from a whites-only restroom in the 1950's.

Welcome to America. Where adults can be arrested for drinking at age 20, but you are mandated to be allowed alcohol in NY if you are pregnant.

Once the kids are born with some sort of problem, you know good and well they will be suing the bar for serving them booze while pregnant.

I agree with this in that they shouldn't be disallowed from serving pregnant women. But they shouldn't be forced to either. It's their bar afterall.

What the hell happened to a business owner being allowed to decide who he does business with?

Since when is social justice more important than the right to refuse your service to anyone you want to?

This will continue as long as men allow it.

The second all of us say enough you bet your ass it will be enough.

Unfortunately single mothers have raised a generation of men used to female leadership.

Bartenders can get in big trouble for serving to underage people, or not cutting someone off before they drive home drunk. So apparently we expect bartenders to exercise judgement is some situations, why not this one?

Good on them. I'm glad to see the treatment of women being increasing well as of late. I personally think they should start selling coat hangers, too. Hell, maybe the entire bar could buy shots for the pregnant woman then a chant could get started, "ABORT THAT KID! ABORT THAT KID!" then a number of the bar-goers could plop that pregnant bitch on the table and one of the trained bar backs could shove that damn $1.99 coat hanger up the pregnant woman's twat and pull that child out like a delicious shish kabob.

Bartenders can refuse service for other reasons, though (like a person having had too much alcohol).

Can't a bartender refuse alcohol to anyone he wants?

This can't be real life.

Because their judgement is attached to the liability of the business. If a pregnant woman orders a drink in a bar, chances are she never stopped. That one drink he served her cannot be deemed as causation, whereas serving someone underaged or not cutting someone of can.

A.I didn't cut off patron A, and he got in his car and killed someone
B.I didn't cut off patron B, he got in his car and killed someone.

C.I gave a pregnant sl00t one drink, and her baby now has fetal alcohol syndrome.

Which one of these is likely to be thrown out of court? Which one is the least plausible? Probably Scenario C.

Because that's a liability issue. They get drunk, drive and kill themselves or others. That's not a moral issue.

If you've made the commitment to allow the child to live, then you've made the commitment not to do things to put it in danger. You shouldn't be drinking if you're pregnant regardless. You definitely shouldn't be allowed to have kids if you're planning on drinking at bars while pregnant.

I don't support the law this thread is about, not allowing bartendrs to refuse pregnant women alcohol.

I do support the right to an early stage abortion n

If the patron came in daily and ordered a drink then it could be. They can't refuse her for that with the new law. However mandating that they be served removes liability from the bar I would think. So the liability will be on the parent.

If it were up to me the liability would always be on the person ordering regardless unless they were drugged. But that's another issue.
