i do legit know some trade brah's that make more than me though, not back breaking work but very hands on. on the other hand there are engineers that are total trash with nothing practical to say. comes down to what you are good at. if electricians and pipe fitters were not there, my projects would be going to hell real quick lol

we actually tried automating some jobs, but it was challenging in the complex technology areas. some products are built custom and so to maintain the robots needed to automate are not feasible at the moment and trying to justify that to management is another story altogether. maybe in the next few years though there might be better programming developments. unfortunately, for trade brah's they are some of the first to go during lay offs and such in my field.
