Lived there for 2 years, back bay and then brookline. It's a pretty cool place to live, I liked it. The drivers are better then South Florida's, they're aggressive but there's a method to all the madness, once you adapt to it it's fine.

It's a beautiful city with its own unique feel, thats my favorite part about it. Too many cities feel like copies of each other because they're all on a grid, Boston is old as fuk and all over the place, each neighborhood has its own personality/architecture.

Brb go chill in the parks in Charlestown with some HBB's, then back to brookline apartment to shower up/pregame, hit a concert in fenway, hit the bars after.







I lived over by the river on the same block as that church in the center of the picture, that also where the marathon bombing happened (Boylston St).


Awesome thin park that runs through the whole neighborhood, great for dog walking/jogging.



Gets cold as fuk in the dead of winter though, that chits no joke. The icy wind funnels through the buildings and cuts right through your soul.

Never hear much praise about Boston, especially when it comes to dealing with people. I hear they are very rude/racist. I remember seeing a vid of a dude wearing a Yankees jersey there and actually getting berated and approached by locals.

Say what you want about driving, but it's nothing compared to driving outside the U.S, try driving in Paris and count how many times you'd almost get into an accident.... Or in Germany, if you're a 10th of an inch from the divider line while driving everyone in the general vicinity will honk at you for not driving perfectly....

Boston is meh but lol at being mad at the design. Out of all the big cities it was the first settled. So that's why it's "designed by potatoes". Construction and drivers suck for sure. Mass drivers in general are awful. They are M*******s for a reason. The ratio of men to women there is also insane.

I lived in NYC for 4 years bc I had to. It's where you go if you want to make real money.

Left as soon as I had enough to relax.

Every major historical hub city north of The Carolina's and south of Maine is AWFUL.

Literally, zero redeeming qualities. NYC is a thing of the 90's. Now it's for gay men who like clubbing on meth, then go to an opera. No grown, straight male resides in the city unless they must for money.

I never experienced this side of Boston. I used to go all the time for business and walk around the city with no problems. Loved it! Lots of history, great seafood, bars every where and people were friendly (at least to me).

How's living in DC bro? Do you use your car a lot or is the public transportation system legit? I'm probably going to George Washington Law School and never lived on the east coast so I'm trying to get input on how different it is from California. So far, the only thing i know is that housing is expensive as fuk and traffic is terrible.

That's because "southy" isn't really a thing, hasn't been for 25 years. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon lived in the suburbs near-by and used the accents in a lot of movies. That's all. There are no white projects in Boston. That was a social justice thing.

There is a great french restaurant near the capital. Best in the country.

If you're not a plebe and call shell out 500+ on a call girl, some of the hottest in the world work DC regularly bc politics. Weed is terrible compared to anywhere in CA but it's better than NYC for sure.

Then there is traffic. Awful awful awful weather. Maybe 30 comfortable days a year in DC. Either humid or cold, wet-cold. Lots of dumb liberal arts majors prancing around trying to be advisers. Bar scene sucks. It's very "diverse." Which means crime is astronomical. Particularly violent crime. Women are gross. "politics is hollywood for ugly ppl." Cliche bc it's true. The take-out food sucks. It's expensive.


All things considered, DC is the worst place to live in the United States

Fuk my life. Damn the weather thing sucks since i'm used to sunny weather and don't like rain for extended periods. I know crime is out of control there with only 3 cities being worse in the country. I lived in the berkeley area for college and crime/homelessness is terrible there as well.

lmao. Can confirm. Grew up in marlboro about 30 min west, never went into the city unless i had to. Can't believe the whole place is still underconstruction, they were working on the big dig back when I was in high school in the late 90's. Place really is a chithole, but I do have a soft spot for the suburbs, past brookline/metro boston, out further where I lived. I'm probably just getting old.

You are wrong about one thing though. The worst drivers in the country are easily either here in MD or so I've heard, california. Boston/mass drivers don't hold a candle to the drivers around here.

lol I'm a conservative rich snob so consider my disposition...even I say, if you move from fcking Berkeley to DC and you don't consider suicide regularly...you're a very strong man.

Lettuce be reality though, first year of law school in particular, you might as well live on Mars if you're a real adult with ambition. Bc you're studying 100-120 hrs a week to finish in the top 25% of your class.

Finish at the top of your class, son, get a DC downtown firm job for 3-5 and transfer somewhere better if you're not on partner track. Your tour is not over. But your 20's are.

Can confirm. Boston was "meh" and was the last place I visited a few months ago.

Good seafood, the freedom trail is a good half-day spent but all in all pretty mediocre.

Didn't drive so no clue about the drivers. Would say avoid Harvard though....just a bunch of tourists following each other around or telling their kids "ONE DAY YOU COULD GO HERE *******"

Ya you're right I gotta finish at the top 15-25% of my class if I wanna have any real chance at a big firm job especially in the DC area. Why do you say I will want to commit suicide coming from Berkeley? Berkeley wasn't that great for me since I'm not a raging liberal. What I liked about Berkeley was the restaurants/gourmet ghetto and weather. What about public transportation in DC? Will I have to use my car a lot? To park at GW, it costs 1k/semester so fuk that.
